KFC — Restaurant in Pasig

Good for takeouts, but not much else

Once known for its long and unmanageable lines where there is a 10% chance that your order will be forgotten, this branch has done its part in trying to meet the standards of what a KFC branch should be.

The staff for one, is very unprofessional. The cashier assigned to me was very agitated with her work and left me to go to the back after taking my order and money. No receipt was given so I had to argue for a good 5 minutes with another server who was preparing my order because I had no receipt daw. Its my chicken, geddemit. Pero gets ko naman na mahirap pag walang label. Mahirap pag walang pinanghahawakan. Then the first server of mine finally came out with my receipt.

Okay na sana, nasa akin na ang chicken ko.

When I went to the seemingly untended gravy counter, complete with an abstract artwork of uncleaned splatters using gravy as its medium, I was dismayed to find out that the gravy was ubos na. Me not being a crazy person who would do the unthinkable feat of eating KFC without gravy, had to ask pa the manager to replace it. She was quick naman, and to be fair it should have been her subordinate who would be regularly checking the supply of the liquid gold that is KFC gravy.

When I sat down I noticed that there were coagulated slicks of oil on top of my untouched coke zero in its visually weatherbeaten plastic glass. I sighed, but still drank it becauze coke zero is sugar free and not naman bad for my health. Note to self, and you, reader: ALWAYS ask for your drink to be put in takeaway cups. (Or have them put it in your own containers, if you dislike the idea of more polar bears dying). Apparently, this branch doesn't do a good job of cleaning their dishes.

While I was eating I overheard some employees making fun of a customer for taking his time in the washroom. The disgust I had of them was way more than what they were teasing him about. Its a free country and I get that they can shout at each other and sing loudly whenever they want, but hey there's a time for rowdiness and a separate one for work, right?

I am now outside the restaurant. As I look back into the cheerfull red and white interior, I can see more than one fourth of the tables with untended dishware and trash in spite of some employees lounging around in a corner by the washroom. I can only feel pain for Colonel Sanders and his passion for chicken. Chicken is life, and KFC is supposed to bring salt into that life.

This one in particular, needs a lot of improvement.

If you are in the area and absolutely have to have your KFC fix, I suggest you order take out from them instead and enjoy your chicken elsewhere. Make sure to hold your beverages well because the paper cup holders they give you are flimsy and actually tear open when the moisture from the drinks finally soak the sides after 5 minutes. There was this time I had to buy iced teas for my superiors and one of them fell and caused a mess. I had to buy Wendy's iced tea to replace it, which I recall was more expensive. So...

We were told to order from the electronic menu and so we did. It was a bit hard to choose given the wide array of choices. We went to the cashier to place our orders, but the Zinger was unavailable. The cashier was unapologetic and it was fine, maybe not a good day for her. What's irritating is that she seemed impatient for us to choose a replacement for the unavailable item. Geesh, if you hate your job so much, might as well quit instead of being unfriendly and ruining everybody's day. It was difficult enough to choose what to order, more so if you were asked to replace it. Why even place the item on the menu when you don't have it? Don't you have a system where you can edit the items on the electronic menu? Also, we were almost done eating when a staff member gave us two missing pieces of the meals we ordered. Restaurant Review: KFC – The Worst Branch Experience

This is by far the worst KFC branch I have ever encountered. The lack of basic facilities and sanitation is appalling. There was no water available, and the restrooms were absolutely disgusting.

The staff’s behavior was equally disappointing. They seemed completely indifferent to customers, swatting their mops right in front of us while we were eating, as though we weren’t even there.

To make matters worse, the food was concerning. The mashed potatoes were disgusting and had an unpleasant smell, raising serious fears that spoiled food might be served here.

Overall, this is undeniably the worst branch I’ve ever visited. Until improvements are made, I would strongly advise avoiding...
