Classic Savory - SM City East Ortigas — Restaurant in Pasig

Had dinner last night with family. Got the hot and sour soup, chop suey, lumpiang Shanghai, seafood fried rice, sweet and sour fish. Got sodas as well.

The soup was odd. Although the ingredients resembled the traditional chinese soup, it tasted like the sauce on the fish and we could not even taste the spicy component.The chicken was as always, tasted like the one we were so used to. But we had to remind the service crew that it should come with a sauce. The veggies were good but the mushroom tasted like it came from a can.

Then the crew came back after a couple of minutes to inform us that the root beer we order is no longer available, so I shifted to another soda. We were provided with chili oil upon request but when we asked for a refill, they never came back with the oil, even after reminding them several times on the whereabouts of the requested chili oil.

All throughout dinner, we notice that the lady crew, probably the receptionist, never once gave a welcoming smile. It seemed like we were the reason for her having a bad day at work.

Loved the food, hated the girl in the front door, service was ok. But the logistics suck. You inform your customers that the soda they ordered was unavailable halfway through the meal? Other smaller restaurants...

Classic Savory in SM EAST ORTIGAS [2025.07.27] I'm with my wife as we are planned to ate dinner here. Around 5:30pm we are not been accomodated well at the first place.. The front receptionist do not know where we must been placed. When we already been ordered with Fried Chicken we notice that the dip introduce was ketchup even we already requested for a Chicken Gravy 🤦

Also the noise of the spoons, glasswares and other are annoying while focusing in eating our meals.. The crews are shouting even the customer notice their mistakes. PLEASE BE RESPONDED WELL as your in the...

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Savory but our recent visit made me change my mind. We got the Chef's Choice set meal which was really bang for your bucks and the selection was good.

I thought it won't be enough for five so I ordered half fried chicken and chopsuey. We were really stuffed after. Personally, i prefer General's Garlic Chicken over the classic. The soup and pancit were also good.
