This was without a doubt the best place my partner and I have stayed in during our trip to Palawan. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. They made us feel genuinely cared for, and it was clear that they put a lot of love and effort into running the property.
One of the highlights was the breakfast service. It is included in the stay, and they deliver it right to your door each morning. This small gesture made our mornings so much more relaxing and enjoyable, especially when we could enjoy our meal in the quiet and peaceful surroundings.
The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a surprisingly large washroom. Everything felt well maintained, and we were especially happy to find that there were absolutely no bugs or insects inside the room. The washroom even had a screened window to keep insects out while still letting in fresh air. It is small details like this that really show how thoughtful the hosts are.
We do feel a little bad for leaving in a rush and not having the chance to clean our dishes before we left. We had an early van pickup to El Nido and did not want to keep the driver waiting. We hope the owners understand, and we are truly grateful for everything during our stay.
My partner and I are already talking about coming back to Puerto Princesa, and when we do, we will definitely be booking this place again. It was not only affordable but also far more comfortable and welcoming than many more expensive options we have stayed at in the past.
Thank you so much to the lovely hosts for creating such a warm and memorable experience. This was a solid ten out of ten stay and one we will happily recommend to others visiting the...
Read moreThis is a 4 star review for a very short overnight stay. With some small improvements I easily could rate 5 stars because the host family is so kind and attentive. If I could rate 4.5 I would choose to give that, and I would definitely stay again.
Room: comfortable bed with strong air conditioning. Working fridge. Bathroom did not have any soap at all, only shampoo(?). This costs pennies and is expected at all times in hotel. There was no water bottle provided in the room which is a first for our stays in Southeast Asia. The room was spotless. With just a bit of improvement on stocking the room to a five star standard this hotel will be five stars at its price point.
Service: such amazing service I almost rate five stars despite the lackings in the room. The airport pickup was prompt and very appreciated. My partner forgot his passport on the plane and they were so kind to drive him back in a panic so that he could get it back before our early next day departure. The breakfast is delicious including sausage, rice, bread, and eggs. The coffee is instant but I thought it was some of the best instant coffee I’ve ever had.
They organized a transfer to El Nido for us and it was a good price but I had a problem as I am incredibly tall and we were the last to arrive to the pickup point and had the worst seats in the front middle next to the driver. All of this despite leaving at 7:50 when we were told it was at 8-9am the night before. I think the hotel should help its guests arrive first so that they have better choice of seat. I would have gone at 7 if they told me... This is the kind of help that is expected when booking through a hotel that receives a commission on transfers, and was the only disappointing...
Read moreI like the location, hospitality and friendliness of the hosts / staff, size of the room (which looks like a studio apartment with balcony), and cleanliness. The unit is ideal for couple due to its "home" ambiance. Mr. & Mrs. Ariel & Leny took care of me as if I was a member of the family. Mr. Ariel patiently waited for me at the airport during my arrival and made some suggestions on where to eat and go for entertainment. He also brought me to the airport for my departure. My tour to Palawan was a last minute decision with nothing booked but my flight and hotel at Puerto Princesa, but this did not become an impediment as Mrs. Leny took care of all my bookings for tourism including the hotel at El Nido for an overnight stay. Every itinerary that I've had was a last minute decision but Mrs. Leny always ensured that I had an organized daily tour. She also had a fallback itinerary being reserved in case the tour may be cancelled due to weather condition. This proved to be very effective as one of my tours was cancelled due to strong winds, which resulted on all tours to be cancelled, so off I went to the alternative tour that Mrs. Leny reserved for me. She did the same to the other guests of the property. For breakfast, I requested Mrs. Leny to eliminate rice due to my low carb diet. She was quick to suggest if I prefer an extra egg or vegetables in lieu of rice. Everyday, Mrs. Leny's sister was bringing my breakfast ahead of time to ensure that I don't miss my scheduled tour. This is a world class hospitality. I really felt like I was a member of the family. Highly...
