We were served by Geraldine and Steven. It was our first time to eat here, they were very accommodating and gave us suggestion about their best sellers.

We tried the following dishes:

  1. sea weed salad - very good, i would order again.
  2. salmon sushi - very good and fresh, i would order again.
  3. tonkatsu ramen - a little creamy for our taste but the salt level was perfect. Maybe if the cut for the chasiu would be thinner it would be better. But overall good quality ramen, noodle was more bouncy compared to ramenagi.
  4. wagyu cube tepan - very good, i would order again.
  5. pork okonomoyaki - not the best I have tasted, batter was too thick, no crunchy outside feels. Maybe if the batter was thinner, a crust would form much better. And it was a bit bland for my taste, maybe season the batter a little and the pork. But to be fair, okonomyaki is hard to cook, and requires patience and time.

Overall experience was good 👍 I would try their other...

Our visit to Botejyu at UP Town Center earlier today (February 23, 2025) was very disappointing. As soon as we entered, we noticed a strong, bad smell that reminded us of sewage. It filled the whole restaurant, including the restrooms, which were also not clean. When we asked the staff about it, they said it was from a nearby canal, but we didn’t smell anything outside.

Aside from the smell, the staff were not as friendly or helpful as we expected. They didn’t seem interested in addressing our concerns. The food was also not as good as before—it lacked the usual flavor and quality we enjoyed in the past.

With the bad smell, unclean restrooms, unfriendly staff, and lower food quality, we can’t recommend Botejyu at UP Town...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boteyju in UP town Center, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The ambiance is serene and inviting, with traditional Japanese decor perfectly complemented by modern touches. The soft lighting and soothing background music created a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for both casual meals and special occasions.

The service was impeccable. Our server, Donita, was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations. They explained the dishes with enthusiasm, which added to the overall experience.

If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine or looking to explore it, Boteyju in UP town center is a must-visit. I’ll definitely...

This is the 2nd Botejyu store that I have visited — my credit card has an on-going discount with them. It was a weekend lunch and the store is almost full already, but we were still seated right away. Our order was served 10-15mins after we placed them. Food were really good. Store was not that cool during our visit. Staff are friendly and accomodating. I would have tried the other items in their menu if only I was not yet full that time. Also, their food are really a bit expensive. Fortunately we had a discount, which made it more affordable. They accept major credit/debit cards, eWallets for payment.

Good casual japanese restaurant with reasonable prices. Food is delicious and service is good. Our favorites were the takoyaki (original and bacon and cheese), tonkatsu (the egg is really tasty!) and tamago. The restaurant is quite big and had a lot of space. I hope their seats will be more comfortable though 😅 Some tables were also extremely cold because of the placement of the aircon but the staff was so nice and accommodating when we requested to move.

Forever a fan of Botejyu (50% off or not)! Their Pork Tonkatsu with Egg Teishoku meal set was my favorite before! After their menu rebranded, I get the Tender Pork Katsu Rice Bowl which is just as good (but does not have the yummy soup that came with the set meal before). Original takoyaki is also good and for me they have one of the best ebi tempura in the Metro! Thanks also to our server Geraldine for the fast service!
