Botejyu SM City Sta. Mesa — Restaurant in Quezon City

Actually, I like the food here however, the service we've experienced today is unsatisfying. First, when we arrived there are only few customers. We've ordered ramen and seafood mix yakisoba and the waiter said it will be ready at around 15-20 mins but it took too long to get serve. The ramen was served first, and while my companion was already halfway through his food, mine is still not ready. We've waited a bit more and only when I asked the passing waiter did my order arrive afterwhile.

Even before that, one of the servers put the wrong orders on our table. But what bothered me the most was, the people who arrived and ordered much later than us had their orders served first. And one of them(if I'm not mistaken) had the same order as me(yakisoba). In my understanding noodles and seafood is much easier to cook than meat so I was wondering why we had been served at different time albeit having same orders and me, being the first to put the order.

I also noticed the same thing happened to the people across us. Good thing that unlike them, I came with my brother so waiting became a bit tolerable. Worst case is if I've been on a date, this will surely spoil the mood as I was the one who recommended the food here because its actually good. And lastly while it may sound petty, we asked for a water refill but till the last minute that we've made the payment it was not served. 😭

I posted this with no hate but with the hope that only good things will come in the future . I still love the food here and will eat here again given the chance.

Really disappointed because I've always wanted to try dining in Botejyu, but the experience I had here was the worst I had in a while. There's a lot of unavailable food on the menu. It was such a letdown to see that the ones we wanted to get initially weren't available. Staff who attended our table was rude and unwelcoming. Chicken Paitan Ramen I had was too salty that I found it difficult to finish my meal. With a price point like this, I was expecting a good quality of food and service. It's unfortunate how my first time trying Botejyu was this horrible....

The food was actually pretty good, but the staff really brought the experience down. They seemed unwelcoming and a bit rude, like they didn’t want to be there. I saw a few reviews mentioning the same thing, and I get it now. Even though the place wasn’t busy, the staff acted annoyed whenever we asked anything—like they just wanted to get things over with.
