Cafe France — Restaurant in Quezon City

There are a lot of customers, mostly elderly. Been here twice; it is always jam-packed. Some customers are in a hurry, others demanding, that is why staff seems rattled. But it is no excuse as well to not deliver excellent service. Don't get me wrong, most staff are kind and polite. But there is always room for improvement.

After the customer in front was finished, my senior companion gave her order. She repeated a few times but she was ignored. It would have been better if she was told, "please wait a while" if cashier was still not done with the previous customer who already stepped out.

Also when I was asking which breads are included in the buy 1 take 1 Fridays but crew just pointed instead of giving time to explain properly which tables or shelf was included. (Since the cream puffs are buy 1 take 1 but not in the table and away in the chiller with cakes, one would not know it.)

No waiter approaching our table, had to call out since they were all busy. He is also not aware of the promo (had to describe at length of the poster in the door and on socmed). But another waitress eventually served us.

There is handwash area and toilet but no hook for bags.

Queues- Some cut the line. Waiting to pay for the breads takes a lengthy amount of time.

Serving time, bill out and waiting for change is so long as well.

The supposed to be take out 8 PC cream puff, when I checked it, only 6 was given. Waited another long while for the missing two to be added which is truly inconvenient.

One of the plates has some dirt/ stain.

No wifi unlike nearby Figaro.

Food and pastries are DELICIOUS and healthy.

They have a lot of promos.

Dine in price add service charge so we paid 2115.40 for the php 2025 anniversary promo bundle.

Wheelchair friendly.

You can opt to dine inside (airconditioned) or outside (al fresco). Which is a good idea since the customer beside us was coughing badly.

I love the cream puff and apparently my cats love it too. I was not able to put it inside the ref immediately and when I went down, they have eaten the pack and left...

Service here is HORRIBLE. Upon arriving with my father and carrying a wheelchair we were not assisted properly and no help was offered when the table offered was too tight for my father to fit in. Mind you he has difficulty walking. I had to rearrange the chairs and tables myself for my dad to fit in while the staff watched. I was told upon ordering that card payment was available and the waitress noted it down, upon bill out to my surprise was told they only accept cash. Being there for an hr or so they did not inform us ahead of time. 2nd our order was almost given to another table. This isnt a big resto and to mess up shouldnt happen especially if that other table that almost got our order had plates while ours was clean. Father ordered coffee and it took over 30mins to have the coffee served. Our food came first after 30mins and took an additional 15-20mins for the coffee to arrive. Slowest Cafe ever!!!!!! Observing the staff a lot clump up behind the counter like 5 at a time. Even getting change after paying in cash took a long time. Goodness I had better service at carinderias that this. Considering your paying a good amount of money this cafe experience was a total FAIL! I do not recommend!! Prices in the menu doesn't include service charge and i was not informed about it. I didn't know anything about this cafe. I needed to eat as I have been at the hospital since 7am this morning for a few tests for monitoring. I have not had breakfast, and it's almost lunchtime. I looked through the sandwich board outside to check what kind of food they serve. It seems decent enough, but I'm not keeping my hopes up for a great meal because I did not want to be disappointed. I ordered the create your meal for Php 445.00 and had a salad, soup, sandwich, and pasta. I added a cheesecake for dessert at an additional Php95.00, and I might as well. My meal came and was quite pleased at my selection. I started my meal and was very pleased with the flavours! One thing I didn't like was that there was lettuce that had brown ends or wilting, but oh well, their food was amazing! I'm not a cheesecake person, but I thoroughly enjoyed eating this slice. It was delish! Reminds me of eating out in 🇨🇦. This place got busier as soon as I sat down. I can tell that this is a go-to place for a lot of the staff here at the hospital.
