it's very disappointing that this place isn't like what it used to be anymore. i am obsessed with their bibingka with salted egg so this restaurant is definitely on my go to list whenever i need to satisfy my craving for sweets. until recently when i've experienced the worst customer service among all the times that i've dined here. diners were sparse the time i went there so i wondered why the servers didn't seem to pay attention to any of us. until i saw that they were all in the back, chatting and what not. tried to call their attention many times, and even shouted at one point. until i was finally approached. that's strike one. then, when the food came, it looked like it had been sitting for a long time before it was served. my sinigang wasn't that hot anymore, and my pinaputok na tilapia was cold when it's supposed to be hot because it's a deep fried dish. they also forgot to accommodate my simple and only request to separate the coconut shavings on my bibingka. that's strike two. and lastly, despite asking for my bill way before i had finished my meal, it still took them forever to give it to me. strike three. overall, i was disappointed with my experience and the quality of the food. it's very unfortunate that such a well loved restaurant would come...

Arguably the best location of Cafe Via Mare anywhere. The food was great. Good serving sizes, quality ingredients, quick serving time, and an extensive menu. This place serves delicious Filipino food that anyone would enjoy.
The service was also extremely efficient. Perfect for a lunch break, the staff were attentive and took care of every customers' need despite the amount of people eating at this crowd favorite resto.
The interiors were bright, spacious, and cool, perfect for anyone to come and eat good food while beating the heat of UP. You cannot find a more beautiful place to take a quick snack or eat a hearty meal. It is also perfect for large groups as the resto can seat quite a good number of people, perfect for college students and professionals alike.
The owners were also super nice, generous, and genuinely cared about the experience of their customers.

There is no better place to have Capiz/Aklan oysters. Constantly imitated, the food is hard to beat; it's the Via Mare you have known and gotten used to, in level of quality one expects as consistent, and that is what they deliver. There's a downside, and that is, they do not take reservations. Therefore if you plan a family lunch you better make that brunch; take it slowly and you can still have your guinomis...
