not sure if it’s the hour we went cause we arrived at 5 in the afternoon on a sunday, but a lot of things weren’t available. like the burrata, ice cream, most of the dairies i guess and staff are unable to answer why.
we ordered for a group of 9: appetizer: ricotta with fried bread pizza: SMEGG, bianca verde pasta: aglio olio, lemon mushroom, bacon sausage dessert: tiramisu, chocolate cake drinks: lemonade, hojicha and matcha latte, hot chocolate, flat white
food experience was generally okay, and lemon mushroom is still as classic as i remember. i still appreciate the different types of fresh pastas they have. their breads are also done well, both dough and appetizers. i do miss the prosciutto and would come back for it complete with the burrata, as well as the affogato. tiramisu could be improved, as the powder on top could be a bit overwhelming and makes you cough when not correctly ingested. just a bit sad we’re unable to order everything we initially wanted, but i do remember fond memories both with family and fries thoroughly enjoying gino’s in my previous experiences.
what’s good as well in this branch is that you’re able to do cross orders...

Four Cheese Pizza - 8/10 just because the crust was too thin going into the middle so when you pick up a slice, the large chunks of cheese just fall out
But this with their infamous spicy honey is 💣
Carbonara - 7/10 because pasta was perfectly al dente, however, was expecting it to be covered in black pepper (how it should be) but was kind of closer to the trad PH carbonara which is just creamy
Meatballs Spaghetti - meatballs were awesome! 'di nakakaumay. Pasta's al dente as well 👌🏼
Crack Pie - caught me by surprise as I didn't know what to expect 😂 goes well with black coffee 'cause it's decadent. Nutty, rich, and slightly sweet.
Tiramisu - sakto lang 🥹 8/10
Overall, babalikan 'pag nag-crave for a legit pizza/pasta experience.
Ganda rin ng takeout box nila for the two leftover slices. Naka-white ribbon pa. Definitely above average dining...
Read moreGino's Brickoven Pizza has been on my list since I got to try my first Napoleon Pizza 2 years ago. My expectations was plain and simple, fresh ingredients, delicious soft yet crunchy crust and a distinguishable flavor from each component, from it's fresh basil both used for the pesto and pizza to each pinenuts flavor explosion. But I did not only experienced those I have just shared. What I also had was, a team of attentive and accommodating F&B professionals. A great twist and inspiration of a pesto pasta. And a new go-to craft beer ( they have a backyard brewery I think) within the Metro. Kudos to Gino's Katipunan Branch. Each and everyone was spot on, attentive and really accommodating. Definitely a good place to have regular meals and sips.
Oh plus, their coffee selection and espresso is...
