If you want to dine for authentic Mandarine cuisine in Quezon City, visit Shantung Restaurant where varienty of seafood, meat and vegetables viands that you can choose. The tables are wide and good for family or group sharing with Chinese music and songs in the background. Their chicken is not like in the ordinary fastfood chain serve with ketchup. If you want pork, shrimp, beef and vegetables, they have variety of products where you can choose either fried, steam with sauces. Name it, you can on their menu for other options. They want it serve hot and fresh. You need to wait time but for sure you will like the taste. Price is not so expensive and for sure it is worth your money. I will be back here for sure.

They used to have a branch in Echague, Quiapo when I was still a child. My parents would always bring us to eat there on Sundays. It's great that they still have a branch that continues to serve the same good chinese food. Prices are cheap too. My recommendations are their hot and sour soup, shantung fried chicken, pan fried dumplings, fried shrimp balls, ampalaya with beef, shredded sili with pork, sliced cold beef kenchi, cold pork gelatin and pancit canton noodles. The place is quite old but is clean. They have a few parking slots too for customers.

Apparently one of the more OG chinese resto in QC. Circa 1958. The place can probably fill up around 70-80 pax. Your problem will be parking coz its really limited. Maybe if all of your guests are on mopeds or scoots. Food is ok, but to be honest i've had better. We had set dinners so i didnt get to see the prices. One guest said its cheaper daw, in fact she ordered some for the office xmas party she wasnt able to attend. For food recommendation, try the roast beef, shrimp balls, chopsuey, and their signature fried chicken.

Interior is old style like classic Lido of the 1980s with plastic chairs and round table. The owner did not go for modern update like ShaTin or Causeway. AC is cool. Limited seating, I saw them reject a family of 5 as early as 6pm, even though lots of tables are vacant. There is supposedly a party as 3 round tables are covered with red cloth and I think they will be arriving 1 hr later. They could have accomodated them as it is still early. The waiter warned us that serving time is about 1hr, although there are only 3 tables occupied, and they were already eating. The Frog Legs salt & Pepper is average. Sweet & Sour Pork is meaty. Hot & Sour Soup with Blood is Malangsa, so we asked for black vinegar. Small serving is generous. Best if u order 1 small per pax. There is a 2nd flr, but closed. CR is big for wheelchair to enter. Parking is scarce and full, even if there are only 3...

First time here, Dad said he dined here when he was small! We pre-ordered the Stuffed Chicken two days before, it's one of their special menu. It's a boneless chicken with stuffed garnished glutinous rice. It's better than what we had in other Chinese restaurants.

Ordered their famous fried chicken too, we are told that the restaurant uses fresh chicken instead of frozen one, very clean and crisp taste of how real chicken tastes like without overly seasoned.

Forgot to take picture of their Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. I appreciate Shantung took the effort to do manually complicated recipes, like this shrimp paste inside the bacon 👍

Will visit again for their dumplings as suggested by...
