Authentic steak is one of the goals that I checked of my things to eat list. After waiting for a long line(29th on the list) it was definitely worth the wait. Upon being seated we are greeted by our server and offered complimentary bread. Grabe, bread and butter palang masarap na at nakailang request kami. Took us a little over 10 minutes to decide what to order and around 30 minutes to be served. In fairness, all the food was hot when it arrived except for the sirloin steak which is somehow cold already when served. The texas fried fish is absolutely delicious and the batter is cooked enough not to be too crispy and not to be soggy. We also ordered a 1/2 slab ribs that is good enough for 2-3 persons. The slab ribs is true to its fall of the bone claim while still being not too soft. Although, the barbeque seasoning is a little too strong to my liking but I wouldn't mind ordering again. Next, is the beef ranchero which the taste kind of reminds me of a shawarma rice due to the strong spices. The tomato along with the rice completely complements the beef and makes a symphony in my mouth. The 6oz sirloin steak was a bit disappointing because it was served cold which made the steak chewy. Even though, the flavor of the steak is still juicy and tasty bu again quite disappointing. It was served with 2 sides, the mashed potato and coleslaw. Both sides are good and tasty. Last, but not the least, which is my favorite. The cowboy roast beef is an absolute beast. Just what I'm expecting from a western restaurant. The beef is so soft, the cuts includes a little fat and melts in your mouth. The gravy is absolutely helping the beef taste better. This meal is served with garlic rice which is a perfect combination to the gravy and the beef. This meal made the try worth it.
The service is impeccable, even at a full house the server was able to accomodate our requests cheerfully. They refill our cups with water whenever they pass by. This place definitely is one of the best dining...
Read moreChain restaurant featuring Texas-inspired food, decor and music. Prices are reasonable for a meat-oriented menu, and they have combo deals that make it even more affordable. Cash, credit cards and probably e-wallet payments accepted. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good AC indoors, but also fairly loud Western music. A few TVs to watch the game or other programming.
Menu is meat-centric with hand-cut steaks taking top billing. Chicken & pork options as well. I had the lunch combo set, which included an iced tea, caesar salad and a St. Louis Ribs entree, which includes rice and mixed steamed veggies.
Service is prompt. Hostess guides you to your table and provides a basket of salty rolls with honey butter to make you thirsty as you wait for your food. Variety of sodas and teas for drinks, along with beer and alcohol including signature margaritas. Caesar salad came out shortly after the tea, with the entree arriving just as I finished the salad.
Although the service and vibe is as authentic as an American Chili's or TGIF outlet, the food was average. St. Louis ribs truly were fall-off-the-bone tender, meaning you don't have to get your hands and clothes and face messy to eat them. But the sauce lacked any real depth or character and instead opted for a generic, inoffensive smokey sweetness. I asked for hot sauce and was brought Tabasco. A hotter BBQ sauce option would have been a big plus. Rice as slightly flavored but basic. Veggies were fine - not overly mushy.
Ordering something not part of a combo lunch set might have yielded a more interesting experience. But this wasn't bad at all - it just wasn't remarkable. If you want to celebrate/embarrass someone on their birthday this is the place. They wheel out a saddle and have the victim sit on it while they place a cowboy hat on their head and sing to them. Looks like they get a bowl of ice cream as well. Definitely...
Read moreThis is a really good restaurant. It’s not as expensive as the top steak restaurants in the Metro, but it’s not cheap either, mind you. However, the food was great and servings were generous, and the service was stellar.
The Cowboy Meat Platter was quite good. The two sausages were delicious, with one having some longganisa flavor, and the other having that Hungarian sausage mild spiciness to it. The BBQ-flavored ribs were delicious. The roast beef were fall-off-the-bone soft, but a bit bland—better to sprinkle it with some table salt. This platter comes with rice, vegetable sticks, coleslaw and sweet corn cobs, and it can truly feed 3-4 people as stated in the menu.
The Grilled Shrimps were tasty, and obviously fresh. These shrimps were of medium size only, but came with rice and vegetable sticks.
The Bleu Steak Salad was also great, although nothing special about the dressing. What surprised me was the serving size. We opted for the ‘solo’ version, but even that could feed 2-3 persons.
The Texas Cheese Fries were good, though nothing out of the ordinary. The cheese didn’t taste ‘cheap’.
Now, amusingly, our favorite in this rest was the FREE bread. It was sweet but not in an overpowering way. We liked it so much that we asked for a second batch, which the restaurant graciously provided. And they even gave us some more for takeout for FREE when their staff saw that we finished even our second batch and didn’t waste any. Now that’s high quality customer service!
Finally, as alluded to above, their customer service is topnotch. Their staff were very attentive, helpful, friendly, prompt and professional, which makes for a very pleasant dining experience.
I would definitely come back to this restaurant...
