Read moreJeez, where do we start? Overall experience was terrible. Iâve been to different filo restaurants and by far, Kuya Jâs the worst. We ate here today with my children and the pancit tasted panis already and to think na we waited for an hour to get our food ha? Itâs not even busy and only few people eating when we got there. I thought it would be worth it and freshly cooked but the food was served cold. The rice wasnât even enough for 3 people. Sisig was meant to be squid as per the menu but they gave us chicken i think. Couldâve had at least informed us that it wasnât available and also the waiting time. Nothing. Missed one of the orders and i didnât bother to ask anymore coz i donât want to wait for another hour for them to cook it. Beerâs on the menu but it wasnât available either. Another thing was the crew working in hospitality industry, didnât really show any hospitality at all. No thank you, made us wait and had to approach them to find out if we could just sit anywhere or what. The worst restaurant that has small serving, bad employees, terrible food and too pricey. Wish we ate somewhere else and knew it was this bad. But yeah, never again....
Read morePlace is nice and clean but the food is another story. No kare kare with tripe so we had to order the one with bagnet. A piece of bagnet sitting in the middle of the kare kare sauce (commercial grade) and wilted vegetables. My wife joke her kare kare is way better. P480 for this dish. Then the scallops we ordered were burnt. I told the waiter about this and he said it was not. So i called the manager and they replaced it. P280 for the scallops. The final nail on the coffin was the ube halo halo that was like eating a sherbet. You need to eat half the shaved ice before you can mix and reach for the sweet stuff on the bottom. P109 for the halo halo.
My first and last dine in at Kuya J. Maxs...
