BEWARE IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY!!!

I am not one to write reviews but I just thought I should use this to warn others that suffer with nut allergies to stay away from this place!!

I came here with my boyfriend on our last night in Port Barton. When ordering my food I made the waitress aware of my allergy and she understood what I meant as she told me what contained nuts and what didn’t.

I ordered the bruschetta and after 2 mouthfuls I called her back over as I noticed my mouth and throat start to itch & swell. I then asked her to double check if it contained nuts and she replied LAUGHING saying ‘oh yea this has pesto mixed in so pine nuts and cashew nuts’

I immediately broke down in tears from the carelessness and lack of remorse shown.

I’m very lucky I had medication with me and this didn’t result in me being rushed to hospital!

When it came to paying my boyfriend was more than happy to pay for his food as a takeout and the drinks however this waitress tried to charge us for the bruschetta that made me Ill in the first place!!! What a joke!

It’s such a shame because I’ve heard such good things about this place! I just hope staff get the right training in allergy’s so this doesn’t happen again and...

Since our departure is approaching, we decided to try some pizza. However, since Napoli was closed, we went to the Sicilija restaurant instead. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio Peperoncino was decent, though slightly cold, and there was an additional spice that I couldn’t quite identify but, in my opinion, didn’t belong in this dish, which traditionally consists of only four ingredients. Considering that high-quality olive oil and Parmesan cheese are hard to come by in this region, the dish was overall acceptable.

My wife had a tuna salad and was very satisfied with it.

What really stood out in a negative way was the poor organization, resulting in extremely slow service. Waiting 15 minutes for a drink and an hour for food is far too long for a pasta restaurant. However, I must say that the staff was very friendly.

My criticism has only one goal: to help you grow and improve your organization. Wishing you all the best...

I give everybody a 2nd chance. My first time there i was not impressed, I'm Swiss,, i know how Italian food can be.

But they just opened, not all can be perfect when starting a new business.

Today i was again there, lets see: I ordered the Bruscetta al Olivo, or whatever this Italians call it. Then Ricotta al whatever, Italian is not ease to remember. The Bruscetta was absolutely stunning, i ordered a 2nd one and give my table neighbours to try. Than the Ricotta al whatever came. It was delicious, the pasta was al dente and the sauce really great. It was so good i ordered again a 2nd one. And the 1st portion was already big. So I'm really full now, but at least in a good way. As i shared my Bruscetta, my table neighbour offered a try of his Spaghetti Vongole... Uh Great. The White Wine was also good quality.

If they offer you a free Lemoncello, uh sweet. But the girs liked it. I ordered his grappa, aged...

Despite the limited menu due to product shortages during my visit, Sicily restaurant in Port Barton still managed to impress with their delicious food. We tried the eggplant pasta and the special for the day, Tuna pasta. The Tuna pasta was a unique dish made with fresh Tuna tartar and lemon, offering a delightful burst of flavor. The eggplant pasta was equally delightful, showcasing the chef's skill in creating memorable dishes. While it would have been nice to have a full menu to choose from, the quality of the dishes certainly made up for it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I had a satisfying dining experience at Sicily and would recommend it to others, with the hope that the menu will soon return to its full offerings.

Our first night at Port Barton, we had our dinner here at Sicily’s and we did not regret it! It was really a great experience. The food is value for the money, I would say that they prepare the food like its- home made and it comes with this authentic italian flavor and touch as the owner was very hands on to it and at the same time he and his wife Cecille are both very friendly and making sure that their guests are happy with their food and the service. We ordered Aglio Olio, Bolognese & Brucetta .We spend 4 nights in Port Barton and on our last night we return for our last dinner and we are just overjoyed and keep talking about it since our first day and can’t wait to be back! This is a must visit restaurant in Port Barton! For real! ❤️

As italian who's travelling, I never order pasta in italian restaurants abroad as most of the time they charge you a lot for a not so good pasta dish. But this time I've decided to give it a go and I was not disappointed at all! Pasta was cooked as soon as we ordered (not pre-cooked like most italian restaurants do when outside italy), perfectly al dente (like it should be!) and very tasty! We took "Spaghetti al nero di seppia" (spaghetti with cuttle fish) and the special "spaghetti alle vongole" and it was so good and the fish was so fresh!! Cecile and Antonio are doing a great job with this restaurant, they are so welcoming and lovely. 100% recommended if you are looking for a place to eat a real italian pasta.
