Mang Inasal Robinsons Starmills — Restaurant in San Fernando

The busiest fast food in Robinsons Starmills (as far as I know of) compared to its sister food chain which is just a few meters away. Their success may have come from their unli rice offerings. During peak hours, they try to ensure that customers won't have to wait for their orders. This is definitely the case, that even if the store is full, there is no wait time for their best sellers.

The problem becomes apparent after the peak hours, there is a bit of waiting time (I was told of a 20 min. wait for my order). The wait is not that long because even with the long lines, they take your orders and receive your payment in less than 2 minutes.

While seated, I noted that one of the trifecta condiments (soy sauce, vinegar and chicken oil) on our table was empty and had asked one of the staff for a replacement. Sadly, he had not returned, nor did I see him again afterwards (must have clocked-out). I asked the guy who served our order for a refill of the said condiment, but he too didn't come back. There must be a scarcity of chicken oil in the store. Oddly though, when the guys on the other table asked for the same condiment, they were given one immediately. I must have timed my request poorly.

I saw the store manager in the dining area assisting with the orders and even serving the extra rice when she sees that customers were looking for the rice bucket guy. It may look that the manager was hands-on with the store, but it just showed that they have a problem with staffing.

Positive comments: Table cleaning was a priority and I did not see the used tables with dirty plates for more than 10 minutes. Cashier was fast and antentive. There were three manning the counters evenhough the peak hours have passed already. The food that we had was served hot and the halo-halo was served extremely cold. (The ice crystals were properly formed)

Negative comments: Eventhough tables are clean, the floor was sadly neglected in some areas. The staff may have been juggling multiple jobs on the dining floor, causing them to forget other customer's requests. The chicharon on their pork sisig must have been aired-out and was not crispy anymore.

Overall, I recommend the store to everyone who loves to dine and order plenty...

So chicken is ok but the following items need to be addressed. If you have a business make sure you have change. Instead of asking several customers to provide exact amount holding up the line. We came by December 25 @10:20am. You need to make sure your supply chain is working properly for a restaurant. Having your chicken oil be out of stock for a restaurant known for chicken inasal and it's chicken oil is lazy management. Then having the audacity to charge your customer 6php for extra chicken oil is greedy.

To the owner you need to be on top of things here. No wonder this branch has...

Poor service.

We ordered at 5:41 pm and they said that the waiting time is 30 mins. An hour passed then they said that the food will be delayed again for another 10 mins. They served the food around 7 pm already.

After serving the food, one of the chickens was already at room temperature. It was not served right after it was grilled. We told one of the crew but they didn't even do anything.
