3 years ago I have promised to eat here in my former colleague - Glenn's restaurant. Not only me, but with my family! We enjoyed the ambiance, the lake and Taal Volcano view, friendly staff, live 'harana', and of course the food!
Must try was the Pancit Batil Patong. We were taught on the proper way to eat it! Glenn explicit said to ask his staff on how to eat it properly. I have eaten before this kind of menu but never knew there was a proper procedure to eat it. I love it! A lot of ingredients and my daughter loved it too!
Another must try is their crispy sisig! Don't get surprised from the usual sisig that is soft, this is literally crispy! Their bulalo is a staple order for who ever visits Tagaytay, and i still recommend it, why? Coz it is sarap to the bones and meat are falling off from the bones, that is how tender it is! The sizzling tofu was another suggestion, turns out delicious as well.
Very appreciated are the complimentary desserts - Dila-dila of Ilocos and Torones de mani are love! Bitin!
My family enjoyed the food and this is a call for another visit!
Thanks Sir Glenn! We missed to see you there, kudos to your...
Read moreStaff seemed quite humble with their hospitality, they suggested me good + affordable place to stay overnight in the area just few minutes from the restaurant. They also have a parking space at their restaurant so you don't have to worry about that, as front street is usually packed with traffic. Restaurant is few minutes from Tagaytay Ridge on the main road among many others of the similar kind, offering similar food. They offer Filipino food (I'm not Filipino) and 'BULALO' (southern Luzon specialty quite common in Tagaytay). I had beer and tried some appetizers which I wouldn't say were lipsmacking but good enough. Prices are...
Read moreFood 4.5/10 Great silog meals but not their pancit batil patong (leaning towards the authentic side but not quite there :: based on my experience living in the mountains of Ifugao) As for the price, it's EXPENSIVE compared to other resto around the vicinity.
Service 6/10 Great service (with service fee tho) they will hand you the menu and then the plates/drinks after a while.
Atmosphere This is probably it's best feature since you'll see the beauty of the lake Taal.
Overall, it's still a place to...
