This is an American style steakhouse. The menu is nice, the restaurant is clean. There were 7 in our party. To start, we attempted to order drinks. The staff is very untrained. I ordered a Bombay Sapphire martini. Out of stock, plus the staff did not know what a martini was. One of our group orders a margarita, it came out frozen, did not want it frozen. Then we ordered food. We ordered a tenderloin, excellent, except the bacon was not crisp. The fish tacos were good, not great, served with about 3 tortilla chips. The sisig was very good. The Kani salad was OK, had the fake crab meat we all hate, which everyone hates. We ordered 2 clam chowders as a starter, asked for them first, with no bacon. They came out with some of the entrees, with bacon. The ribs that we ordered 2 years ago were about half the portion that they used to be. The food was served randomly. There was no “first course”, the entrees were served as they came out. This was entirely due to a lack of staff training. The place seems to be trying hard to be fine dining, the decor is all over the place but not consistent with the name which is supposedly a smoke house. I salute then for opening a business amidst a pandemic but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Price point is very expensive.
Their specialty the pepper crusted brisket was 895php that comes with 200g of brisket, a soup, and a side salad. The dish itself is more for fine dining in terms of plating, so many unnecessary items on the plate. Flavor was bland, no smokey flavor here, the meat was dry. It was quite the let down at a high cost.
The bolognese spaghetti on the other hand seemed to be undercooked and could have used an extra hour simmering to further strengthen the flavors of the sauce.
