Read moreThe first time we dined here years ago, the food was really nice and the ambience was lively. Coming back here was disappointing, to think that we only drove to Tagaytay to have dinner.
We ordered sinigang na hipon, sizzling bagnet, and half inasal. It was my mistake for assuming the sizzling bagnet was sisig. So we added sisig. The rice was very sticky. The inasal was not cooked well and still have raw parts. We had it taken back so they can grill it again. The last straw of the dinner was when the sisig arrived (very quickly for that matter), it smelled terrible for food. Like how wet furry dogs smell.
We all lost appetite. The sinigang was ok. Sizzling bagnet was ok but not preferred. Inasal could have been ok (at least the breast part) if not for the raw parts.
We told them it smelled like dog and they just told us it's because the chicken liver and that that's how kapampangan sisig is. I love sisig; hence, I added it after finding out i made a wrong order. I've eaten Kapampangan sisig before and they definitely didn't smell like dog. Even our child said it smelled like our labrador when he hasn't taken a bath yet.
We had our remaining food prepped for take out instead. We paid for our entire bill, so needless to say, we're not just trying to get free food or a refund.

Read morePlace is cozy, spacious and clean, they have a wide parking area, some nipa huts outside for dine in purposes. Their food varieties are quite balance from pork, to fish and vegetables, they also have a little "Pasalubong" corner where you can buy some local delicacies. Famous with their bulalo and inihaw, we ordered the following...
Bulalo Inihaw na Tuna Belly Sisig Calamares Ensaladang Talong Crispy Tawilis
Bulalo was delicious, not oily to mouth and served under a catering fire to maintain the soup hot, tender meat and balanced saltiness..
Inihaw na Tuna Belly was my favorite, super tender, no fishy smell, grilled evenly..
Sisig kapampangan style was just normal, plain and has this sour after taste..
Calamares was delicious but do not expect crispiness on the coating..
Ensaladang talong was also a must try coupled with their bagoong, very delicious
Crispy Tawilis slightly doubtful becaise i think it was just a Tamban not the tawilis itself, plus only the outside part is crispy, you can still feel the softness of the fish meat, unlike other restos whose crispy fish are more crispier inside and out..
Overall it was a good place to eat at with your family, a nice place in Tagaytay where you can be far from the traffic zones, must try! And the price...
