WOW 199 Unli Samgyupsal - Tagaytay — Restaurant in Tagaytay

If gutom ka, pwede mo ng patulan. But if not - DONT EVEN TRY!

Pls read our experience below. Sobrang not nice at all, this resto doesn't even deserved to have 1 star.

We ate here last night around 12mn. Were very excited kasi after a long drive, nakakita kami ng 24hrs na kainan - samgyupsal pa.

On top of that, were happy cos it's only 199 - budget friendly, however, the waiter told us na hindi na available ang 199, rather ung 299 na lang. 🙄🤨

Since gutom kami at pagod na rin mag-hunt ng samgyupsalan na bukas - fine! We gave it a try but of course, we didn't expect that much. 😉

Pero the expectation was beyond our imagination.

Here we go:

Side Dishes are not appetizing. We only had (1) cucumber, (2) kikiam, (3) radish, (4) fishball, (5) potato and (6) fishcake.

SCAM sa 18+ side dishes. TF!

OH YEAH! We asked if meron pang other side dishes kasi di ako makapaniwala and yes daw, meron pa and they gave us (7) Kimchi na sobrang durog! Ung parang latak na lang. 😂

So wala pa sa kalahati ung claims nila about sa total ng side dishes.

They only had two sauces served. I asked for a cheese, kaso ung cheese nila is cheesewhiz. 😂

So i've asked for a Soy Sauce na lang - oks na rin ung toyo - pasado naman sa panglasa ko, atleast hindi Datu Puti.

Lettuce is only 150g (50g per pax) and not refillable. Di kagandahan ang lettuce, may mga dark spots and smelled like a soap. The waiter even told us na mahal ang lettuce, so what? Do we have to empathize with that? Why gave us the burden? Samgyup to right? So lettuce is a must.

Pag samgyup, much better ang di mag-kanin para masulit mo kaso on our case, need mo mag rice para lang ma-satisfy. 😂 Didn't even mind na magrefill ng rice not unless requested to.

Tissue has to be requested as well - sana iniwan nyo nalang sa table para di kayo patayo-tayo or nilagay nyo sana along with other plates para kami nalang ang kukuha.

For staff, NOPE! ZERO. 🤷 Malas lang sguro kami sa time ng kain namin. Scam ung attentive at friendly staffs. May isa pang rude na waiter speaking other dialects while talking with my colleague about the menu! You think thats nice?

Staffs seems doesn't care at all. Parang ayaw nila ng customer because i didn't even see any attentiveness towards them. They are not welcoming.

Someone didn't even mind na padaanin ako saglit. He only cares na matapos niyang ginagawa niyang pagbibilang. Where's the courtesy?

Staffs also murmuring whenever we asked for refills. I feel like they are mocking us! How was that?

CR - NOT NICE TOO. NO PARKING EITHER. Buti nalang at 12mn so wala ng masyadong sasakyan.

You didn't even bothered to ask for our permission na kuhaan ng photo while eating. Basta shot na lang. 🙅

THE WORST IS, THE CASHIER ON-DUTY IS BOGUS.

She billed us out earlier becuase of sched shifting. Thats fine! However, pag tinignan mong receipt, they charged us for 2 pax ng 199 and on the second line was 299. She crossed out the 199 and corrected it by using a pencil stating na it should be 299.

This was intentionally done. HOW? WHY? Two line items ang nasa receipt which is magkaiba ang pricing knowing na we are already advised na 299 lang ang available so why magchacharge for 199?!!

If your doing it right, it should be 299 x 3 or 199 x 3. Then say, nagkamali ka, then you can simply change from 299 x 3 or vice versa pero this is not the case. MAY NANDAYA AT YEAH KAWAWA NAMAN ANG OWNER NG STORE BECAUSE OF THIS. 🤦 Sana hindi ka aware sa ganitong bogus ng staff mo.

This claims are true because one of my colleague saw and overheard na may nag abot ng 200 pesos sa isang staff after we pay. And that 200 pesos is yung sobra sa binayaran namin.

Sa magsasabi na, P299 lang kasi, why expecting more? Sana sa iba nalang kayo - DON'T EVEN START dahil may ibang samgyup resto na offering ng same amount but everything was superb. And again, ito lang ang open na samgyupsal sa tagaytay (midnight) after a long drive and hunting.

So yes, it's worst. 💯

This will be our first and last. What a shame kasi walang option mag review sa...

I read the comments before still taking a leap of faith to dine here. I ate there with low expectations and still got disappointed. That's saying a lot.

First offender is that there's no "199" set, which this much, I understand since the price of meat will always inevitably go higher.

Second offender is the choice of meats. We went for the "299" set which is for Unlimited Pork and Beef.

They do not have a menu to show the different flavors of meat that they have. They will just shove 3 types of pork and 3 types of beef upon initial serve. You're just gonna have to guess using your tastebuds, and oh boy, let's talk about the TASTE.

The TASTE is the worst offender. Almost everything is BLAND af. The only reason why we were still able to eat the said meats is because of the TWO sauces that are available. Without the sauces, they are BLAND af, you'll think you might have COVID. There's no salt nor pepper on the table and you're gonna have to rely on the sauces for flavor.

There's 100 pesos leftover charge for meats, 50 pesos leftover charge for sauces, and 50 pesos leftover charge for sidedishes (per sidedish).

I'm a big fan of eating at samgyupsals and I've tried so many as of this writing. This is the first time I did not enjoy eating at a samgyupsal restaurant.

Unless you like wasting money, do...

The side dishes were a letdown, there weren’t nearly as many as they claimed (Only marble potatoes & dry fish cake). As for the meat, it was bland, and the quality was pretty bad and full of abscesses. We were served four paper-thin pieces, and the crew made us feel judged for even thinking about asking for more. Honestly, we felt watched and judged the entire time. The whole experience felt tense and awkward.

The setting is nice. No fans, but the open air and breeze with a great view of Tagaytay across the street made for...
