Caffe przy ulicy ŚRÓDMIEŚCIE — Restaurant in Łódź

Perfect example of how bad service can ruin a restaurant. The food is lovely and the cafe itself looks great and I would have given it 5 stars were it not for the lady on the counter. If you're expecting a friendly welcome and a cheery dzień dobry, think again. Her attitude borders on hostility. I thought I might have caught her on a bad day, but looking at the other 1 and 2 star reviews on here it seems that this is her normal state.

If she is indeed the owner, as others have suggested, perhaps it's high time she sold up and found a calling in life where she doesn't have to deal with the poxy customers who are so obviously beneath her. If she isn't the owner, then I can't imagine how anyone would allow her to continue to do so much damage to an otherwise...

The food looks very nice on the plates. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to try it. The waitress gave us an approximate waiting time of 40 minutes which seemed fair as the cafe was busy. However, after 70 minutes waiting and after asking, the information was that "it would take another 10 to 20 minutes". 80- 90 minutes waiting for breakfast is absolutely unacceptable, especially when no food came out of the kitchen but the waitresses are with 3 people in front of the coffee machine and cutting oranges for 15 -20 minutes just before i asked where the food is.

I had to leave after 80 minutes to catch my train.

Also other guests had to wait and started to complain.

So in summary Look if the food great. Coffee was delicious Organisation...

If u want to stay hungry and waste some hours-visit this place on weekend, you can stay here in a queue for an hour and one more waiting for ur breakfast so in total it lasts min 2 hours to have breakfast on Sunday. There is not enough space inside and there is a huge chaos with it, people just sit at a table for hours without food and nobody does anything with it. The restroom is also not in a very good condition. Although the food is great but the rest is a disaster. I guess the owner just doesn’t want to expand the staff ‘cause there obviously aren’t enough workers. They are very busy and there are still ppl with dirty empty dishes which...
