Short and to the point - price, quality, sufficient portions and above all very tasty dumplings. You don't have to read it, just go and see it by yourself. Pierogi “u Moni” have been around for eight years (I hope I haven't made a mistake). And it actually took us eight years to discover them. For eight years we passed by this location at least twice a year during our visits to the local dentist and never noticed that place. After my very last visit to the dentist, I was walking down the street being very hungry while a yummy smell of something filled my nostrils. Something so wonderful that I wanted to eat it immediately. And my girlfriend says: look, there's a dumpling bar here! And it actually is. Dumplings can be ordered to go or eaten on site. The interior of the place slightly resembles a late PRL catering establishment or perhaps one from the early era of transformation. But unlike those places it is clean, smells of delicious food and the service is very friendly. We ordered a few dumplings for each of us. I chose the meat option, Paulina a variation of dumplings with vegetarian filling. We also ordered a cup of classic red borscht to drink as an accompaniment - everything tasted simply amazing. I am very glad that we discovered this little treasure on the culinary map of Łódź. Located far from the main gastronomic street of Piotrkowska it is probably more difficult from the business point of view, but from what we saw, or rather ate, it is doing very well. Nearby there is the Monopolis complex and to all of those who visit that site I highly recommend popping in to “U Moni pierogi snack”. Thank you very much for the delicious dumplings, keep it up! Read moreDuring a recent visit to Łódź with friends, we stumbled upon a charming traditional Ukrainian restaurant that completely exceeded our expectations. Specializing in pierogi, this cozy little spot quickly became one of our favorite food experiences in the city.
The pierogi were, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever tasted. Each bite was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. Whether filled with potatoes and cheese, meat, mushrooms, or more creative combinations, the variety was impressive and every option we tried was delicious. The dough was perfectly soft and the fillings rich and satisfying — truly comfort food at its finest.
What made the experience even more memorable was the incredible service. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, creating an atmosphere that felt more like dining in someone’s home than in a restaurant. There was a real sense of hospitality and pride in what they served.
The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and quality of food. It’s a fantastic spot for anyone wanting an affordable, authentic meal in Łódź. The interior was cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy great food with friends.
Highly recommended — this is a must-visit if...
Read moreSmall, quality joint by the ugly, noisy, 7-lane wide segment of Pilsudskiego. Close the door behind you and the place becomes cosy and warm, the dining room is tucked even deeper towards the back of the building and away from tumbling cars. Few tables but we come in 6-7 person team and always get seated. The food comes quickly, which matters on a lunch break. Great pierogi for around 2.70zl a piece, also several traditional polish options like compote or beetroot soup by own recipes. Enjoying myself...
