Zielona Dolina — Restaurant in Chorzów

Small restaurant in the park which is right next to a parking lot (I'm not sure if there are more parkings in the park or not).

They serve pizza and pasta, and the offer is quite extensive. The prices are ok, too (I don't know how high the prices usually are in Poland, but for us Czechs it was below average, so great). We paid approx. 100 PLN for two meals and two drinks.

The food was good (we had pasta, we didn't try any pizza). It wasn't anything amazing, but it was ok. We waited for about 20 minutes, so it was ok.

What was a bit of a surprise was the service - you need to go to the bar and order there and pay immediately, then you collect your own food and cutlery and bring it to your table. After you're finished, you also clean up after yourselves. Again, I don't know if this is standard in Poland, but we were confused in the beginning, and nobody told us anything. So we waited for a few minutes and then went to ask the waiters.

They speak English (at least the one waiter did, I don't know about the rest), so it was easier for us to place our...

Very poor service. This place used to be great but has gone massively downhill recently. Ever since they tried to upgrade the interior. It used to be a place of character now it just feels cold and uninviting. Waited in a queue at the bar for about 20 minutes just to get two drinks. There were two barmaids at one point but one decided to disappear and chat when her friends arrived leaving only one incompetent to manage the queue at the bar. We didn't order food as we were advised that we had to wait an hour for pizza. Eh? The place wasn't even that busy. Sure, every table was taken but not everyone was eating and there are not that many tables anyway. Busy is when you have a queue of people waiting to sit. That was not the case so again, an hour for pizza? Anyway, in the end i didn't even get the drinks i wanted as apparently, after serving two hot chocolates to the man in front of me, they didn't have hot chocolate for my wife so i had to make do with a flat pint and a bottle of orange juice. Shame, as they used to do...

Bylismy wczoraj ze znajomymi na pizzy. Obsluga fatalna, panie kelnerki nie potrafią sie zorganizowac, jedyna mila i sympatyczna okazala sie pani ktora pracowala na kuchni. Czas oczekiwania miał być do godziny, zamawialismy w tym samym czasie pizze ze znajomymi. Owszem oni dostali ja w godzine, my natomias ok 20 min po nich , gdzie w tym czasie zdazyli juz sobie na spokojnie zejść . Chcielismy wyjasnic cala sytuacje i poprosilem o rozmowe z menagerem lokalu ktory chodził po restauracji, ten stwierdził ze obsługa zajmuje sie takimi sprawami po czym poszedl do swojego gabinetu . Co więcej pan z obsługi w bezczelny sposob próbował mnie przekonywac ze przecież''nic sie nie stało czeka pan tylko 20 min dodatkowo", czyli juz ok 1.5h. Poprosilem kolejny raz o menagera na to pan kelner powiedział "nie widzę potrzeby go wzywac moge dac panu numer" . Absurd w tym lokalu goni absurd . Wyzej wymieniona pani kucharka zapropopnowała piwo w ramach rekompensaty, byla tak przemiła że postanowilem odpuścić i przyjąć te piwko. I tu kolejny hit pani kelnerka wzięła najmniejszy kufel jaki miala i podała te piwo. Nawiazujac jeszcze do wykwalifikowania obslugi, wprowadzają nowe standardy takie jak : wypalcowane i brudne szklanki , drinki z nalepką od limonki itd... Nie polecam tego lokalu i radze doszkolić obsługę a pani kucharce dać stanowisko...
