I am writing this as a person who lived in Italy for 3 years and travelled there extensively throughout my entire life: This restaurant is very bad. The main problem with it is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. When you enter you see a very nice, chic interior; however, the second thing that struck me was that speakers were pumping all those kitsch tunes like acapulco; songs I enjoy but nevertheless are not remotely suitable to the place Limoncello tries to be. You can imagine that the owners wanted to play Italian music but were not bother to research something that would fit the place. Then comes the food: prices are very steep but I'm not one to complain if the food is adequate. Unfortunately, it's not. We first ordered baby calamari. You would think this dish would mainly consist of this delicious seafood - WRONG. I counted 6 small bits of calamari. What about the rest? Well, the dish arrived covered in loads of sauce, to the point it came accompanied with spoons. It tasted ok but if you order calamari, you expect calamari, not a bowl of sauce. Then the main: we ordered pasta with truffles, a premium option. The pasta we got was overcooked. The sauce was at best ok, yet not seasoned enough. The dish included other mushrooms that were, unfortunately, tasteless. All of this came at a high price, or medium if you consider Italian standards. The place tries to market itself as a premium Italian option. Yet, nothing but the decor and the prices fits the...
Read moreI have mixed feelings. First of all it's expensive. Pizza for 99 pln. Yeah I know it's truffles, but not everyone in Italy eats truffles. So if the target Customer is the rich one then ok. Second thing the food is pretty good - yellow tomato soup was nice, krewetki w emulsji and carbonara too. Quality and taste is there. But for some reason I felt the food was pretty heavy, which I don't remember feeling in Italian restaurants (maybe I had a bad day 🤷). I found the music too loud (and noise in general). If you are targeting rich Customers then it has to be more chill and elegant. If you are targeting regular, young Clients then ok, but then the prices are within reach of regular Customers. In the end I'm left with the mixed feeling between it's ok...
Read moreThis cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable host (lovely, well mannered gentleman), delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend it to everyone! It was our anniversary dinner. I was having seafood pasta and eclairs for dessert. Pasta was to die for and desert... much more than I expected. Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about. You can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. It was our first time in Limoncello, and you definitely have to go there. I would like to come back there...
