Synergia — Restaurant in Katowice

I don’t have any particular favourite place in Katowice, I chose where I want to have my coffee based of how hungry I am and what I want to do. If I want to study in peace (but not be dead alone in the cafe) I chose this one. There are some tables (by the windows) that are far from the more crowded area and I can have my peace most of the time. It’s rarely noisy, maybe on weekends. I have tried to go there on Saturday and it was too crowded but during the week it’s always fine.

I like the menu of the day idea. I’ve been going there regularly for the past three years and tried many different dishes and have been pretty amazed by most of them. The only drawback is that if you get to like a particular dish you won’t be able to eat it there ever again (unless you’re very lucky, sometimes they repeat them). I would not recommend this place, particularly for anyone looking to work on a laptop. The Wi-Fi connection was extremely poor and barely functional, forcing me to rely on my personal mobile data to get any work done. Additionally, the environment was quite noisy, which made it difficult to concentrate.

I also encountered an issue with the service. After ordering a coffee, I had temporarily to move to a different table to take an important work call because of the noise. Unfortunately, my unfinished coffee was cleared away without asking, and a staff member interrupted my call, which I found quite discourteous.

I recently visited synergia and had a very disappointing experience. While the food itself was decent, the service was incredibly slow. We placed our order and waited for an unreasonable amount of time (approx. 30 minutes). Even when our food was ready, we were told to wait, and we had to repeatedly ask for it. We even suggested picking it up ourselves, but the staff seemed uninterested in helping.
