I have eaten many times over the years at Sphinx and yesterday my experience was atrocious!
I ordered a starter of chicken wings and a burger for my main. My wings arrived and were hot on the outside and freezing cold inside, I told the waitress who took them away and informed the manager. The manager didn’t seem to care and walked past me on a few occasions without apologising even though his restaurant could possibly give me food poisoning or worse. After around 10 mins I received new plate of wings and my burger at the same time and this time the wings were hot all the way through but not 100% right and my burger arrived with more lettuce than meat. Very disappointed with the standards of this place. I asked for the bill and still had to pay for the wings and still didn’t get any apology or asked me how my meal was. Front of house staff are there to assist you and look after your table with customer service being top priority but here they seem to be interacting more with other members of staff rather then interacting with the customers.
I am English so I understand there was a language barrier but standards should still remain the same. I work with hundreds of other nationalities and my standards never fall.
Staff needs to be re-trained, motivated and employ chefs that have food standards and heat food...
