I have had the pleasure of dining at Umberto on multiple occasions, including lunch, brunch, and dinner. Each time I visit this unique restaurant, I am continually impressed by the outstanding menu and the marvellous food it offers, particularly as a Swede. The portions are generous, to say the least, providing a truly satisfying experience. What sets this place apart even further is its location in the Citadel Park, which adds an element of adventure to the dining experience. Surrounded by nature, it feels like a tranquil escape from the stresses and fast pace of urban life.

The atmosphere of Umberto is captivating, immersing you in a wilderness-like ambiance. It truly feels like dining in a remote location, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The restaurant's setting in the Citadel Park adds to this unique charm. However, it's not just the surroundings that make this place special; the staff themselves are an integral part of what makes this restaurant worth visiting. They exude a cool and relaxed vibe, always ensuring that your visit is about more than just the food. Their attentiveness and hospitality enhance the overall experience.

I highly recommend paying Umberto a visit or two. It is undoubtedly worth every penny and more. The exceptional food, delightful atmosphere, and attentive staff create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a leisurely brunch, a satisfying lunch, or an exquisite dinner, Umberto will...

Well, I like to write positive comments, but this is not allways possible. I was counting that Umberto, as the only place I've found in Cytadela Park will enable us to eat something warm and tasty to give us an opportunity to continue our trip to the Military Museum. Unfortunately we have stucked in the restaurant... The place was quite crouded. The staff had a difficulty to find a place for an adult and two children - well - we weren't a large enough group to deserve a "normal" table so we were given a table for two with additional chair. OK I understand that pandemic has its own right and that there is always a risk that a large group of people will come. We have somehow managed to put a basket with cutlery, two beautiful cups of tea (with two tea pots) and a cup of delicious hot chocolate on the table. But that was almost all what was possible to be put there. It was tighty, but we enyoed it. After c.a. 20 mins of waiting our dishes were almost thrown on the table. I and my children where rushing trying to somehow stack all cups and a basket to make some room for plates... as waiter was making an impression she is not going to wait. Food was delicious, but some distaste has remained, even though she (waiter) has thrown a mechanical "bon appetit"... I don't know, perhaps I've forgotten to add some sugar to my...

This place gives me some glasshouse vibe. It's full of plants and colours, feels a bit chaotic but I love this style. It has some private garden, perfect for soaking up the sun surrounded by tropical plants. If it's about food there are no many vegetarian and vegan meals. Vegan meals are only available in breakfast menu😥. The nice thing is that both of them are highlighted in menu- I really appreciate that. We ordered vegetarian: pizza Margherita and bruschettas with tomatoes, basil and cheese. Bruschettas were amazing and really Italian as for me. I loved it and if I would come here again I would definitely order them. Pizza was just a classic polish pizza but it was too salty and I couldn't feel any other flavour. All in all my experience as a vegetarian wasn't great. Maybe ppl on classic meat-based diet would be more satisfied...

WHAT A PLACE! 1) Food – absolutely delicious, the best goulash soup I ever eat in my life. It was not too heavy/meaty, sweet and spice flavours perfectly balanced and combined. 2) Customer service – five star without a doubt. These people are dedicated to this place and passionate about the food. 3) Interior – unique, hidden garden - Alice in Wonderland style, full of plants, well designed, birds chirping, books exchange cupboards with summer dining area as well, and one lovely member of staff, walking around on its paws among customers.. 4) Price – relatively high for that part of the town, but fully justified by its stunning surroundings, food quality, customer service and interior design. Soup was about 18 pln which is totally reasonable, however, 15 pln per 2 pieces of garlic bread was a bit shocking :)

The place has an exquisite decoration. The food is amazing and the Sangria is very tasty (must try!). The only downside is that you gotta guess if you can sit down or wait to be seated, which means (in our case) we spent few minutes standing in the middle of a heatwave waiting to know what to do before we could sit. Family friendly place, not if you are afraid of wasps since there are a lot of plants inside and right behind the sits, lots of flowers.
