Yes and no. We went in, a really friendly waiter who spoke good English, the menu card came in English with traditional Indian restaurant dishes, and some Asian at the end. We ordered a starter of poppadoms with dip (I will be back to this ) and some deep-fried samosa, etc. The main was the assortment of Indian dishes ( not he Asian platter), a couple of beers, and a hot chai tea. Service was quick, and poppadoms were fine, we were waiting for the dips until the table next to us was finished. It was taken to the kitchen to be refilled and served to us. Totally unacceptable hygiene and health hazard. The samosa were generic from a box but not burnt, so you can't expect much more. The main came quickly after,( they needed the dips for the next table) It was lamb, tofu, chicken, and a tandoori that was as dry and tough as an old boot. The rest with the rice and fresh narn bread was good. Warm good-sized and enough variety to keep you interested. The waiter again was friendly, was doing a fine job. but i think that the owner in the corner sitting there micro managing everything and giving the stinkeye didn't help the atmosphere of the place. It was pretty cheap for 2 people, including drinks at 196plz, so the price was relative to the quality...
Read moreI'm sorry, I really wanted to like this place, I was trying to introduce a friend to Indian food, I was hoping she would like it, but we both did not enjoy it, and I will not come back.
The waitress was not pleasant, that was my first clue I should have left, she looked like she did not want to be there, I guess I can't blame her.
The garlic bread appetizer we ordered did not arrive until the main course was served. The portion of rice served with the chicken curry was very small. The rice was overcooked and still tasked like water because they didn’t drain it enough. The curry was nothing special, and also had too much water.
If this is the level of service and food they provide, I do not know how they are still open, for me, this was a poor representation of good Indian food. Spent 85 Zloty for 2 people, while the decor was ok, it does not fit the prices they ask for their food.
I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was served on time and one of the waiters...
