Polski poniżej / Polish below // English // I had a distinct displeasure of having experience this restaurant some two weeks ago, and at first thought I’d give them a pass but I seriously believe that this restaurant having a 4.5 rating is a serious misunderstanding. But to the point… When we have entered the restaurant (at the time we had the reservation, me and the 2 friends of mine) we were told to wait, because the person greeting us was not in charge of reservations. We have kept waiting for about 15 minutes (while at least half of the tables were empty) and the waiters just ignored us. Finally we asked if we may just sit somewhere, and immediately after that we did, apparently it was not a problem. Now that we are sat down we’d hope for a menu, had to wait roughly 10 minutes for that. Between that time and when somebody finally took our order it was approximately another 30 minutes. Bear in mind that it has been an hour from the time we’ve entered till ordering (and the restaurant is far from full). The food came at a relatively long time, though I will not blame the cooks here. However, our drinks never arrived. We have had to wait for them longer then for the food because the waiters have forgotten about them. Pretty sad, especially that it was like 30 degrees outside. The last problem was the bill. A friend of mine, being allergic, did want a salad but did not want to risk taking the one with the dressing, because the waiters clearly had no idea if that contained the allergens. Therefore, she asked for a salad which would “be the same type of salad they serve with ribs”. The bill showed that we have ordered ribs for 48PLN… Ridiculous. None of us had ribs, that’s how they billed a salad. Fair play, once confronted they refunded us 22, but how do you make such a mistake in the first place?
To summarise, the service was absolutely tragic and the food was nothing exceptional, I’d say pretty average. Warsaw is a beautiful city which has a lot to offer. For that price you can find a ton of better places to eat in. Sure, the restaurant has beautiful views, but the Vistula boulevards offer the same (and for free).
Read moreWe visited on June 21st to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The hostess with black hair was extremely unwelcoming, insisting we made a reservation at a different location—even though I called a week prior using the number listed on Google Maps and confirmed the booking for this exact place. She offered no help, made my parents wait outside for half an hour, and continued seating walk-ins ahead of us.
After arguing for 10 minutes, we were finally seated at 6:45 PM. The manager wasn’t helpful either. When I brought a birthday cake, he refused to place candles on it, saying, “We don’t do that,” which felt unnecessarily rigid. I had to do it myself—something I’ve never experienced in any other restaurant.
The only highlight was our server—a man with glasses—who was professional, kind, and attentive. He helped with the cake, brought a hot knife for cutting, and even found a box for leftovers after the staff threw away the original. He truly saved the evening.
Management seriously needs to improve their reservation system—an online system or confirmation messages would prevent this kind of confusion. Writing reservations on paper is unprofessional and unreliable. A disappointing visit, saved only by excellent service...
Read moreI normally never leave reviews but I had to for this restaurant. The service was the worst. I am gluten free and even though it was mentioned on the food I ordered on the menu was mentioned to be gluten free, it was not. When me and my friends complained about it, the staff was dismissive and not helpful at all. They finally decided to accommodate me but charged me extra for potatoes when it was clearly their fault that they did not write correctly on the menu. They charged extra without notifying us, which I think is even more disrespectful. Do not go there, I am sure there are restaurants next to this one that are much nicer and more accommodating and a lot less rude. When you have allergies, and when menus mention gluten free, you expect it to be. Allergies is not something you can control, and the staff was not understanding and I felt belittled and looked down upon. Moral of the story, this restaurant deserves 0 stars. Since I can’t give 0 stars, I...
