Location: The restaurant is located directly across from the Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, right in the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town. A perfect stop while exploring the historic center. Ambience: A small and simply furnished restaurant with a cozy, homely vibe. The atmosphere is enhanced by the staff wearing traditional Polish attire, adding to the authentic experience. Service: We were promptly seated and handed menus upon arrival. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the visit. Food: We ordered two types of pierogi – one filled with meat and the other with cheese and potatoes – pan-fried and served with crispy bacon. We also had a bowl of chicken soup. The chicken soup was well-seasoned and had a truly homemade flavor. The meat pierogi were tasty but felt a bit too heavy. The cheese and potato pierogi were outstanding – perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and with just the right balance of cheese and potatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. Prices: Compared to other restaurants in the area and considering its central, tourist-friendly location, the prices are very reasonable. Great value for authentic Polish cuisine. Conclusion: A charming local restaurant with a warm and authentic feel. Delicious traditional food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy classic Polish dishes in the heart of Old Town Warsaw.

Overall the service was terrible, to pay a mandatory service of 10% on top of being ignored. The food took over an hour to get after we got our drinks, which included hot cups of soup which were cold when we finally got the food. We legitimately orders everything in Polish as well. The menu clearly states how to order the periogis in groups of 8. We ordered each flavor so we should have gotten 56 periogis. Instead we received 8 in total for 5 people. We also specifically stated that the lentil periogis needed to be separate because they were for someone with a food allergy. Again we made him go over our order that we wanted an order of each flavor. Then it took another 30 min to get the check. We said we wanted to pay with card. He finally came back and was shocked when I handed him my card. He then did the same thing to the table next to us. Took him an additional 15 min to come back and acknowledge us. Food was anticlimactic. Groups who where seated after us got there food before we did.

Exceptional lunch experience at Gospoda pod Zygmuntem We had an amazing lunch at Gospoda pod Zygmuntem and were lucky to be served by Artem, who took care of us for over three hours with kindness, patience, and perfect recommendations. We tried several dishes — delicious soups, pierogi, and goat cheese and potato appetizers — all beautifully prepared and full of authentic Polish flavors. Everything felt homemade and thoughtfully presented. The restaurant has a cozy, traditional atmosphere, and thanks to Artem’s attentive service, it was one of our most memorable meals in Warsaw. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine Polish hospitality and food made with care. PS. The warm beer is a must!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at gospoda , and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that made for a perfect setting.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was a treat for the senses. The chef's attention to detail really stood out, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste.

However, what truly made the evening memorable was the outstanding service provided by Tali. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Tali was incredibly attentive, offering helpful suggestions from the menu and making sure our glasses were never empty. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making our visit special.

Tali's professionalism and charm added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions with patience, and her recommendations were spot-on. It’s rare to find such a combination of efficiency and warmth, and Tali certainly brought both to the table.

I highly recommend gospoda for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. And if you’re lucky enough to have Tali as your server, you're in for an even more delightful evening.

We will definitely be...

The day that I want was a hot day in summer. It was boiling hot in the restaurant and all they had was two fans at the corner. I ordered the tiny spinach dumplings - nioki and I didn't like them. They had no taste. If you put on the sauce you tasted something nevertheless without it they were tasteless and I did not care for the sauce so I didn't eat them. Since I would pay for them I asked to take them to go since my flight was leaving in 3 hours and I would give them back home. They charged me for the container! I couldn't believe it. I also ordered the Bolognese fried dumplings after this, in order to eat. They were very good. They should have more than two fans in a hot summer day. They should not charge the dish if you tell them you didn't like it and leave it intact. Just because they would charge me I took it to go. But even then they charged the container as if they hadn't charged enough for sitting. Also be aware they charge 10% service fee even though the service was slow. A woman with her teenage daughter sat and left 10 minutes or more later after they had not come to take their order. Also there is only one toilet...
