This bar/restaurant is beautifully decorated—stylish and welcoming, which is a nice surprise for an airport setting. We arrived during a quiet period, and our server was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, attentive, and did regular check-ins to make sure we were happy with everything. Her service really stood out.

As the place started to fill up, it became clear that they were understaffed for peak hours. Our waitress was doing everything—seating guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and even clearing tables. Despite being visibly busy, she stayed polite and professional throughout.

Food-wise, the soup and burger were excellent—both full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The quesadillas, on the other hand, were a bit of a letdown. While they featured slow-cooked beef, the meat was tough and chewy, which made them hard to enjoy. The homemade passion fruit lemonade also didn’t quite hit the mark—it looked great but lacked flavor.

There’s an 8% service charge automatically added to the bill, which our server clearly explained before handing it over. Given the level of service she provided, we were more than happy to pay it. She genuinely earned it.

As with most sit-down restaurants in airports, a service charge is common practice. If it’s something you disagree with, you can always ask for it to be removed and leave a tip that reflects your experience—or none at all, if you choose. Either way, it’s worth knowing before you go in.

Overall, a good airport dining experience made even better by a hard-working and kind server. Would return again during...

I recently dined at Gate One Restaurant and, regrettably, had a rather disappointing experience. Given the time constraints before my flight, I opted for what I thought would be a quick and simple order - two portions of French fries. However, the service did not meet my expectations.

Firstly, the timing was off. I was initially informed that my order would be ready in 3 minutes, but it ended up taking over 15 minutes. While I understand that delays can happen, especially in a busy airport setting, the significant difference in timing was a bit frustrating.

The most disheartening part of my experience, however, was related to customer service, specifically regarding an additional request I made. When I asked for some basic condiments like ketchup and mayo, I was surprised to learn that there would be an extra charge. Nevertheless, I agreed to pay the additional cost as these are standard accompaniments for French fries. But the staff's response was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, giving the impression that providing this service was an unwelcome inconvenience.

Although I insisted that I was willing to pay for the extras, the staff eventually added some dressing to the fries in the same box, curtly mentioning that there was no need to pay. While I appreciate not being charged, I would have much preferred a more respectful and accommodating interaction. The staff’s attitude significantly dampened the...

On the bright side the food I’ve tried was tasty, seemed to be freshly prepared, and was of a good size.

On the darker one, beside being so obviously overpriced (which is expected for the airport and which I would not mind at all would everything has been ok with the service) there were two service issues:

1st, I got to the place at 10:10, I have asked the host whether they still served breakfast, and being assured that they do had a seat and choose one of their breakfast only to learn in a few minutes that breakfast has already been closed for 15 minutes. It is an example of a bad service. Then I had to change my order and next thing I learned that among all the desert options from the menu they have only one available. This is not a sign of a good restaurant.

The service also was a bit slow, but not too terribly slow.

And the last minor note, although I do not sweeten green tea, I would really expect more sweetener options for the tea than just regular sugar. E.g., it would be nice to have been offered some honey.

Food and drinks only make a half of what the restaurant should do, with service being another half. And this place did not do the...
