Restro — Restaurant in Warsaw

Amazed and greatly surprised. Hidden gem! Decided to try this place without reading reviews as I usually do but the place looked nice enough in a very nice area in warsaw and after a long day I wasnt gonna be too fussy. I ordered black pasta cooked in wine sauce and I was amazed about how good it was. It was perfection. Probably the most tasty pasta I ever had or I remember. The flavours, the prawns, the garlic and the sauce were heaven. Congratulations to the chef as managed to delight me with the food. You have to try this place if you are in Warsaw. And this is coming from someone not that passionate about pasta and Italian food. Like I just crave it sometimes but I would comeback here tomorrow if I found the time before finishing my holidays just to have more of this delicious food. Staff is nice, friendly and accomodate special requests. Just one word....

This review is about service, as we didn’t get to try any food.

After 10 min of waiting in nearly empty restaurant being ignored by 2-3 staff members, we had to leave. They had literally 3 tables with customers and restaurants has roughly 20 in total. It was not busy at all.

The waitress didn’t greet us on the way in, nor pointed to a table. We just sat down and have been waiting till we got tired of being ignored.

One waitress found time to spray clean front windows and other one found more important jobs like tiding up tables. Funny enough nobody even looked our way when we left and „Goodbye” them.

When I popped inside seconds after, they were already adjusting table cloth and cutlery on our table.

To summarize we had an impression, that we were not welcomed.

I absolutely love this place, it never lets me down. First - it is a top place to eat tasty, gourmet lunch without long waiting time. But be prepared for a full party, so some waiting time expected. The lunch menu is divided into sets - soup same for every set, then second dish according to your taste. Second - very good italian dishes: pizza, pasta and deserts - especially tiramisu. But for this come outside of lunch hours - my recommendation. Third: staff is extremely nice and fast. Prices are very decent especially for such high quality food. Oh and coffe is...
