I’m not easily impressed when it comes to food, especially pizza, but I’ll admit, this spot wasn’t terrible. The place looked decent enough when I walked in—nothing too flashy, which is fine by me. The staff was polite, but I wasn’t in the mood for small talk, and they respected that, so points for that.
I went with the Margherita pizza, mainly because I was in the mood for something simple, and, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But, I have to say, the pizza wasn’t bad. The crust was thin, but not too crispy—just the right texture. It wasn’t soggy either, which is always a win in my book. The tomato sauce had a decent flavor—definitely better than the usual watery mess you get at some places—and the mozzarella was actually fresh, not that rubbery stuff some places try to pass off.
I’ll admit, I was surprised at how well the ingredients worked together. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but there I was, taking bite after bite. I still don’t think it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was solid, and I didn’t find myself regretting the choice, which says a lot.
Service wasn’t overbearing, which is nice when you just want to eat in peace. I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to come here every week, but if I was in the area and needed something decent, this place would do just fine....
Read moreI was quite a regular guest of this restaurant but had an awful experience yesterday. I went with friends and each ordered at least one drink and a pizza or pasta (4 people, 4 dishes, 7 drinks). When my friend asked for a glass of tap water (he had his medication out on the table) waiter told us that she is not allowed to serve him tap water and he can BUY bottled water. We told her politely that we don’t want to create landfill like a plastic or glass bottle and he only needs a little water. She still refused. My friend gave up and ordered a bottle of still water but I asked her to pass feedback on to the owner who she said forbids serving tap water under any circumstance. She refused to pass feedback on saying that her boss heard this feedback many times before and he is not interested in cheap skate ideas. Guess it is unimaginable to the owner that he has guests who are willing to spend money at his place but not necessarily on bottled water which whole world is moving away from in order to protect environment. CHEAP AND...
Read morePoor kids next to me were bothered my flies that were around. Not just one. But several. Food is cooked fresh buy not a hearty portion. See picture for flies. Hostess was nice. And they cooked to order. I subbed artichokes for pepperoni. No problem. I complained to the hostess about burned calzone. She tried to tell me all calzones come out burned. I think not. Been eating calzones for 40 years. Pizza places would never serve that. Hostess made it right. Offered to take the calzone and get me a pepperoni pizza. Not burned. So 3 stars for the effort to make it right. At 30 zlota it's not cheap in local terms. Not expensive in American dollars.
They cooked me a good pizza and took the calzone back.. they made it right. This pizza...
