Oki Doki Sushi — Restaurant in Warsaw

It was late on a Sunday evening during my first visit to Warsaw that my friend and I, decided to find a quick bite near our Airbnb. We stumbled across Oki Doki by complete accident while looking for another sushi restaurant in the same shopping area. Oki Doki, which is closed an hour earlier at 9pm on Sundays was actually already in the process of cleaning up for the day when we entered at 9:20pm. Instead of turning us away, the owner kindly directed us to a nearby table and started putting the decor back up. He quickly offered us beverages and handed our menus. After placing our orders, we had our meal in relatively quick order (within 15 minutes). To our surprise, the food was fresh, delicious and in generous portions. I am no expert but I always have sushi no matter which city or country I am in. Oki Doki stole my heart today with its amazing selection, good prices, and above-and-beyond service. After the meal, I spoke to the owner and apologized about our late intrusion, to which he said kindly, he was always happy to serve hungry customers. We also learned that he operates this shop alongside his best friend, and that they both went on a culinary journey to the United Kingdom and to many other countries to learn how to make sushi fresher and better tasting. Perfect sushi---very hard to find. It is under the bridge right next to the alcohol shop, the store is in the mall part that runs parallel under the bridge so there is a little mini mall under the bridge. There is a lot of construction going on and the doors of the building may all not be unlocked so go under the bridge and ask different restaurants where the door is if you get lost. Worth hunting for and the sushi was perfect but I spent like 20 minutes looking around for it, it helps to have an idea...

I’m used to eating sushi with lots of soy sauce, but these rolls are so delicate and perfectly balanced in flavor that you can enjoy them even without any sauce — they literally melt in your mouth. 🤤
