I was really looking forward to trying pastéis de nata in Warsaw, but this place was a big letdown. First of all, they were served cold, which is already a bad sign — in Portugal, they’re usually served fresh and hot, right out of the oven. That warmth is essential to the experience.
Secondly, the cream filling was totally off. The texture and flavor were nowhere near the original.
And don’t even get me started on the price — let’s just say, if you’ve got a big appetite, it might be cheaper to book a flight to Lisbon and have the real thing there.
Not recommended if you’re looking for an authentic Portuguese...
