PORTA 13 CAFFÉ — Restaurant in Warsaw

My original review was a 5,but after visiting again and waiting 30min for a coffee and then another 40min for water, i have to just drop it to 1. Im not exaggerating the timeframes. A guy next to me was waiting 35min only for a waiter to come, ask him if the cups in the table were his, they werent, and then the waiter left without taking them xDD and just did whatever. Two old men who were also waiting 40min+ just got up and left, im not sure if they even bothered asking for their moneh back but i think they did, they were clearly very pissed. A girl said they had a lot of custoners today... Well me and my friend counted. They had 12 customers, 6 of which were waiting in empty tables.

Surely a staff of 3 people should be able to handle 6 custoners in less than an hour?

Me and my friend stopped being annoyed and just made a game out of how long each table was waiting.

The coffee shop pretends to be Italian, and forgets that in Italy you would have your coffee in less than a minute.

There are possitives about the place. The coffee is good and thr atmosphere very pretty for a summer day. But the service is so so, just so slow, that as a negative it utterly overwhelms whatever possitive traits the...

What a wonderful hidden gem! It's separated from the bustle of the street by the gate and a thick wall of... ivy? Either way, it's green and pretty and makes the surrounding appear just that bit more inviting. 🌱 Entering the café itself feels somewhat like walking into somebody's remote home? 🏡 It's rather unassuming, both on the inside & on the outside but that doesn't take away from how cozy it is. It can get a bit chilly indoors during the winter but other than that, there's a few corners to occupy with a friend and a foccacia in hand.

Speaking of food — definitelyof high quality. And the beverages? Simply wonderful! I'll risk sounding pretentious but I suppose if there was any café in Warsaw I'd call "authentically Italian", it would be Porta. 😉 Seeing the menu made me so happy. Ginseng coffee? Come on, like I wasn't missing Milan anyway! 🫠💘 It was spot-on. And the lemon tart was really tasty, too. I recommend everyone tries at least one of the less known Italian coffee beverages while they visit! Given the great atmosphere, delicious dishes/drinks and welcoming staff, I'm definitely planning to return...

The service does not exist. Half an hour for an espresso. 40 minutes for an overpriced sandwich. The person next to us was waiting for 40 minutes for his table to be cleaned while the waiter was blissfully admiring the clouds( and not cleaning the table). Not to mention the overpriced warm sparkly water on a hot summer day. They said they had a lot of customers...... 12 people... Of whom, few just left without ordering.... After a point, frustration turned to amusement and I was tempted to give 2 stars for that but it's not fair for people willing to spend their precious...
