Gym is decently sized. Lockers were provided with entrance and plenty big for a normal sized backpack. Chalk was provided as well. Many holds on intermediate routes were either old (lacking texture to begin with) or just well-used and therefore polished - curious as to how often they set new boulder problems.
Two competition routes in the back of the gym were fantastically fun. Overall, the problems are great, maybe just a bit reachy if you are shorter than average climber. The gym is really poorly lit, so it is very difficult to distinguish one route from another. Staff did not provide any guidance or orientation to the gym. They simply took my money, had me sign a piece of paper- i assume this was my waiver, had me leave an ID for the locker key, and pointed me in the direction of the locker rooms. This could be because I speak English instead of Polish.
There is decent space for training - campus board, free weights, pull-up bars, hang boards. The gym was a bit difficult to locate. There was a small sign leading you down an alleyway, but the entrance is much further away from the street than indicated by Google Maps.
Overall, it was a good experience - the routes and gym community were good enough that I would go back if I were staying for an extended...

So avoid visiting on Wednesday afternoons as this place tends to get packed. Multiple trainers are running sessions at that time. Here’s the twist though, this makes Crux Boulder the perfect place for extreme introverts to make friends. Let me explain. The space between walls is a bit tighter than in other gyms, so you often end up standing or sitting close to someone while resting between climbs. You don’t have a choice, but that proximity does the hard part for you. You don’t need to muster the courage to approach someone; the closeness naturally opens the door to casual conversation. It’s the kind of situation where both of you are thinking, “Well, we’re already squeezed in here, might as well have a chat.” So yes, my introverted friend, step out of your cave and into this boulder field. You might just find your new...
Read moreVery disappointed in this gym. It is ok to try once, but I wouldn't come back. The entry is quite expensive (36 pln) and shoe rental 14 pln. There are only 2 rooms with boulders, their number/difficulty system is very unclear. Even after we were told to look for the tiny numbers, it was hard to follow the route as the boulders are very dirty and the colors blend in together. Boulders difficulty range from very easy to extremely difficult. They were not very fun or enduring. Coming from North American bouldering gyms, this place is a huge disappointment in terms of cleanliness, organization,...
