Looks great, but functionality and experience begs to differ… looks of a 4-5 star hotel with service of 2 stars. So it’s 3 star overall for a 4-5 star price
Got here at around 3pm. They are understaffed, they won’t answer the phone even at 9pm because they are so busy. Full occupancy = stress test for their systems and they fail
We asked for clothing hangers and to help fix the WiFi and nobody came to the room for hours. I went downstairs several times to ask in person since I was late for a meeting with a friend and couldn’t stay for 3 hours. I really need WiFi to work in my room, so this was a big inconvenience and top priority
Their tvs don’t work with their own WiFi network. Netflix impossible to use, need to bring your own internet to their hotel
Eventually they did get it fixed for everything but TV so that’s good. It’s still a bit buggy but for now it works when we disconnect and reconnect. *update: it has stopped working on our phones now the next morning…
They stuck me in a room with a bad view of a car park on a low floor unfortunately. Paid extra for an upgraded room but some are on low floors and occupancy is high. Constant vibrating noise of train tracks in my room is driving me nuts
Anyways, one of the closets had no hangers, and the other has hangers that cannot be removed from the metal pipe looking thing. In addition you have every jacket or dress facing you instead of side by side which makes it hard to access. Just another example of something looking cool but not functioning properly
The bathtub really got me though, there is a sharp edge on the bottom that cut me pretty badly, and it looks like a horror movie in here. It’s not normal to have something like that. Marriott or Hyatt branded hotel would never have it because it’s a liability and an easy fix to avoid.
I remember calling them before the booking to try and confirm if they have a mattress topper to connect the beds or not. The reply was they can’t reserve one in advance and don’t know if they can accommodate having one bed because they don’t have enough mattress tops. Seems really weird, why wouldn’t they just invest a little money in them if they are often unable to provide them to guests?
Overall not happy so far, hopefully it gets better. Breakfast isn’t cheap here and isn’t included, at Marriott I had a much more professional and consistent experience
Have literally shown them my injury with bloodstained towels and bandages and they are completely apathetic to the situation and don’t seem to want to fix this flaw in their rooms. Asked for bandages, and guy came to our room with nothing
Ps, the gym is the size of a hotel room. it is there just to say “we have a gym”.
Walking to the center is unpleasant especially at night because you have to cross under a highway and some train tracks. It takes 10 min just to walk to Zlote Tarasy.
For this price point I’m not convinced so far. Yes it’s cheap as a foreigner but there may be better options nearby for the same price. They won’t move rooms for me so I’m stuck in this situation.
Update: insisted again and again and finally moved to a better room on lower floor, though it was a lot of work. They don’t have anyone to assist with luggage. Funny thing is they initially told me they had no room available to move to until I asked for a refund.
Good stuff: some of the people are nice, just not enough of them working. The room decor and general atmosphere is really modern and feels solid/new. The business lounge and restaurant area are cool, though it’s hard to place anything more than a laptop anywhere. The room dining table actually is decently low with a good chair which makes it ideal for using a keyboard and mouse. There was a welcome set of drinks and chocolate in the fridge of the room which is a nice touch.
These guys need to focus on the basics of hospitality before working on the fancy interior design aspect of running a hotel. That’s just facts. Your TVs need to work with your own network. Someone should answer the phone. There can’t be safety concerns in...
Read moreChecking into the NYX hotel was a breeze. My Polish speaking is still mediocre but I was able to get checked in quickly, and was offered a room immediately if I accepted a lower floor, or could wait for the higher floor rooms as I was early to my reservation.
Hotel feels secured well, as the card to your room limits you to the floor your room is on and the public spaces, the elevator is also quick, both to my room and to the rooftop bar. The latter was closed for the entire duration of my stay, perhaps for the season? I didn't ask so I didn't find out.
Once in the room, there was a spacious cabinet to unpack clothes into with hangers and shelves. Ironing board and iron provided too. Bathrobes and Sandals are on request, but easily obtained on the phone as noted in their digital guide.
Ample lighting from both regular lamps and LED accent strips along some of the wall. Everything was prepared, water provided, bed made, the works. "Wild" room theme/concept. This wild concept applies to the whole hotel really, but the room continues it.
The bathroom was well equipped as well. Large spacious shower with a large main showerhead and detachable smaller one. No issues with water tempurature, could take hot showers if I want as easily as cold ones as the controls were very permissive. Maybe wish the soap wasn't 3-in-1 but it's okay as there were stores nearby to buy my own very easily.
Room service checked in frequently and always refreshed the used parts of the room, clean towels, new water bottles, clean tea-cups, and bed-made. Sometimes more than once a day (I recall once leaving and returning twice for different errands and my bed was remade both times). Made us feel really taken care of even if we don't ask. (Introvert's dream?)
The bed was super comfy! Not much else to say there, well slept every time. TV across the way very appreciated, as my girlfriend and I watched many Polish dramas while staying awake due to the time zone lag.
We made use of the breakfast bar, and found it to be great! The seating area was comfy, and the staff were always picking up plates and refreshing tables with new utensils from what I could see. The food selection was varied, many types of bread, many types of "breakfast" for all sorts of folks. Fish, fruit, pastries, whatever you like. Coffee, tea, and everything else you could need. Buffet style too, so there was no need to stop and order from a menu like some US hotels. Just grab and go. In my opinion, the dining/bar area is where the "Theme" of NYX is most successful, it looked really good here.
In the end, checking out was as easy as checking in, we left early in the morning to make our flight, and the person at reception even offered to order our taxi for us.
I see myself returning here when I return to Poland again and again. Very comfy, welcoming, and...
Read moreWe had a lovely stay at NYX Hotel Warsaw as two couples traveling from Iceland. The hotel itself is modern, beautifully designed, and in a fantastic location. The rooms were clean, stylish, and very comfortable — truly a classy atmosphere. We especially appreciated the rooftop bar and the overall vibe of the hotel, which felt lively and urban in all the right ways.||That said, there were a few things that made our stay more complicated than it needed to be. We had booked and paid for the rooms from the night before, as our flight arrived very early in the morning (around 4–5 a.m.), so we were not requesting early check-in — we had simply secured the night before. While we received the rooms upon arrival, our request to have rooms close together was not honored. One couple was placed on the 18th floor and the other much lower.||This created problems because of the hotel’s elevator keycard system — you can only access your assigned floor and common areas, so we couldn’t even visit each other’s rooms. One of the couples asked to be moved, and the hotel did accommodate that the following day — but only at 3 p.m. This split our day in half, as one of us had to go back to check into the new room while the rest were out enjoying the city. For such a short trip (only four nights), losing that kind of time was disappointing.||The elevator system also felt unnecessarily confusing. There’s no clear indication that an elevator is coming after you press the button, so we sometimes waited without knowing if one had been called at all. It caused a bit of uncertainty and frustration during an otherwise smooth stay.||That said, we truly enjoyed the hotel overall. The rooms were excellent, the staff were kind, and the location made exploring Warsaw easy and fun. Despite these minor hiccups, we would definitely stay at NYX again and would recommend it to others — just be sure to double-confirm room arrangements if you’re traveling with a group, and bring a little patience for...
