TLDR: cool location, amazing food, the interior looks great, prices are reasonable, it’s accessible in a wheelchair apart from the restroom, the music is not too loud, and lights are dimmed, there are a few vegetarian options and no vegan options, very dog-friendly
📍 Location & interior The cafe is located in Praga, a cool district on the other side of the river from the peak centre of Warsaw. It's the only district in Warsaw that was relatively unaffected by World War II, so there's still some lovely pre-war architecture to be found. The entrance to Toast is from the Wileńska side, and the patio is hidden on the inner side of the building, so it's quiet and peaceful. The first thing you’ll notice when you enter is the striking interior design with the brand blue accent colour. Looks great!
☕️ Food & coffee As to the food, it’s amazing, too. I ordered the toast with chicken (Grzanka z kurczakiem on the menu), and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and flavourful, and the bread was perfectly toasted. You’d expect the stiff dough, but it was very soft. Don’t worry about it being spicy - it’s not NOT spicy, but your mouth will not be on fire at all :) The spiciness is more of an undertone as an excellent addition to the taste. Really enjoyed it! The coffee was balanced, and they had oat milk! Sadly, there are no vegan options, but there are a few vegetarian dishes.
💸 Service, price & reservations Service is fast and unnoticeable, precisely how you want it to be. The prices are on the higher end but very reasonable compared to other places and considering everything above, so check the menu ahead of visiting. There’s a 10% surcharge for groups of more than 5 people. You can book a table on the weekdays but not during the weekend - just message them on Instagram or call! They do not have a website so far, but you can find all the needed information on Instagram (@toast_warsaw)
♿️ Accessibility Someone will come up to you right when you enter, ask how many people the table will be and show you where you can sit after you answer. After that, a server will bring the menu to you, give you a few minutes to choose and take the order at the table. They do not bring water as a default, but you can ask for it for free. The music is not too loud, the lights are dimmed, so it’s very sensory-friendly! The seating is comfortable, too, with a few hidden-away places. There’s also a table for more than 2 people - check the photos. The playlist is also very cool - pop music, but nothing too popular.
While the entrance is accessible, as well as the inside and even the terrace (although there are cobblestones instead of something easier to navigate!), the restroom is not - it’s too small and without handles. The good thing about the restroom is that it’s one for everyone with two cabins, and there are period products available in the innocently looking box. Kudos to that!
You can see the menu in the “Menu” folder here on Google Maps, and they also have it on Instagram in highlights. The Wi-Fi password is in the right down corner of the menu, so you can work here, too!
🐶 Dog friendly Toast is dog-friendly, and there’s even a dog menu! How cute is that?! They’ll provide food for free, and you can get lactose-free milk, food and even a bone for an additional price.
🔔 Important note: they are closed on Mondays!
Overall it’s 9/10 - would’ve been 10 if it were fully accessible - and I will definitely return to try out other things. Highly recommend! It’s worth the time and money, for sure. They have 4.7 for a reason and will...

Nothing special taste-wise. Not delicious, but not bad either. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Coffee is bland.
Service Very unfriendly staff. No greeting upon entry, they just get straight to business. There were two tables pushed together by previous guests, but instead of offering to separate them, they seated us at a shared table where strangers sit uncomfortably close to each other.
When they brought the salad, they took away the previous dish but didn’t provide new utensils. Had to get salt and pepper myself.
Vibe Clean and bright space, but with few tables. At 9:20 AM (20 minutes after opening on a Saturday), there was already a line at the entrance. They like to seat 2-3 pairs of guests at shared tables. Many visitors with dogs.
Overall Nothing special. Don’t waste...
Read moreThis morning, I visited this place with my friend. Even though it was completely empty, we waited at the entrance for someone to seat us. While we were waiting, my friend glanced around the place, and the red-haired employee behind the bar suddenly yelled at her in a rude and aggressive manner. Eventually, another staff member seated us, but we were left waiting for a long time and no one came to take our order. When the same red-haired employee appeared again, we politely called out to her—but she looked directly at us and deliberately ignored us before walking away. At that time, there were three employees in there, yet none of them acknowledged or assisted us. My friend and I eventually gave up and left. The experience completely ruined our day. If you don’t want to be treated with such disrespect, I strongly recommend...
