I've been to this restaurant several times before and always had a great experience, but unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. Despite many good seats being available, they were all reserved even though they remained unoccupied for the 20 minutes we were there. We were then seated at a table for two that was extremely unstable, with the table shaking every time we put something on it. When I asked the waitress for a more stable table, she seemed irritated and told us to wait. We were then moved to another table, which was also unstable and in a cramped location, causing waitstaff to bump into us as they passed. We waited for about 11-15 minutes before we were even able to place our order. Meanwhile, the waiter was chatting with neighboring tables, even though we had signaled for attention. Another waitress eventually noticed us and pointed to the first waitress who had moved us to a different table, but she refused to come take our order. I was disappointed that my experience was so poor, especially since I have had great experiences in the past. Unfortunately, our evening was off to such a bad start that we decided to leave the restaurant. I hope the management can address these issues in the future. I rarely do reviews, but the cocktails here is very tasty and creative, atmosphere rocks and food is finger-licking good, so is love to come again, but it is important for me to know that this place will not disrupt any romantic...
Read moreWe’ve showed up without reservation with our international team after a long meeting day. The young lady on the door welcomed us and been told how long we can stay as per our table had reservation on it already. We got a server called Bartosz, who was not necessary a warm person and his arrogance was endless. We felt like he is doing us a huge favour explaining how the restaurant works / we had some questions regarding some drink. Drinks came promptly but after him being super unprofessional we decided to leave. One time we tried to call him, all we got is a raised up pointy finger to wait…. No comment. When we asked for the bill he said split payment is a problem for him, even tho he did - at the point we were speechless. We’ve left the place and went to the next restaurant.
Overall it’s a nice place and even tho it was my first time I think it has a lots of potential. The waiter clearly had a super bad day and this review is not to place him in a bad position, but he needs to work on his attitude if he wishes to work in service sector. This young man has so much potential if he lovers his arrogance and be a bit more humble. Wish him all the best.
Will be go back? Probably will have one more try but if this carries on we going to avoid far this place...
Read moreI highly recommend Whiskey in a Jar in Warsaw. It's a fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere, delicious food, qr code menus and great price to food ratio.
The experience started off on a high note, with a lively atmosphere where live football was playing on TV, and there was music to set the mood. The food was heavenly—especially the burger, which was top-notch. The prices were reasonable, and the waitstaff spoke good, understandable English, which was a huge relief as a tourist.
The restaurant's location is also a major plus. It's conveniently situated near a tram stop, with a large parking lot just 100 meters away, and it's not far from downtown Warsaw.
The only minor downside was that it took a bit of time for the waiter to notice our request for the bill, and then for us to actually receive it. However, this is a common issue in many restaurants, so it didn't detract much from the overall experience.
In summary, Whiskey in a Jar offers good food, a pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, and convenient location, making it a great choice for...
