FAM. — Restaurant in Wrocław

I have heard from multiple places how amazing this place was. But hype aside. It was subpar in every aspect. The staff did not have a full knowledge about the beers they had. And the particular beer I had was not so amazing (can happen, not the most important point). We waited about half an hour when the restaurant was almost empty which was a bit surprising. But still not the deal breaker. The problem was the pizza. The dough was not very tasty comparing it to Pizza Si not so far away or Margherita which is the best no questions asked. We ordered quattro fromaggi without sauce... (to taste the dough) and got it with sauce. Nobody asked us if everything was OK, so there was not even a moment to complain and we were very hungry. My pizza was supposed to have potato chips on it... And I got huge roasted potato cubes. Not at all what it should be according to the description. We paid really fast, we still didn't have even a second to start complaining. The waitress disappeared after the card was accepted. I guess it was quite close to closing, but still... Well all the promises were unfulfilled and I left with a slightly upset stomach. Not likely to come back....

I've frequented this establishment a couple of times alone, with my gf and friends. While I do not have any issues with the pizza, which is decent/good, the waiting time is unacceptable. More often than not we've waited 10 or more minutes just to have the menus given, and another 20 or more mins for the waiter/waitress to get our orders, all the while giving them signals that we ale ready. There were some times that the wait was even longer, do we just gave up and went to some other joints. I understand that this is not entirely the staff's fault (given the number of tables), but the owners should address this. I've seen self service pizza establishments in the vicinity that have more staff than La Famiglia. So - either hire more staff, or stop with the...

FAM definitely is a cool place. Good pizza, great craft beer. There are however few things that are asking for review how they operate.

1. There is no "degustation board" for beers, that you take few small (or even smaller than small beers to taste it). Especially useful when they have quite a few highly rated beers on draft. So you either don't try some, or get wasted.
2. I got information that they have a problem with degustation of more than 1 beer. Let's say you want/can drink only 1 beer and you see 4 new England IPA beers on draft and you don't know which one to get (if you would like it or not). They are allowing only to try 1 (by trying I understand minimal amount to feel the taste). Definitely big minus.
