It was delicious! But...

We asked for three steaks and one other dish for a company of four people. After maybe 20 minutes, they brought us the dish we asked for and only two steaks, and told us that they only had two. They didn't have three.

We asked them why they didn't say before cooking that they only had two? They did not answer us.

After maybe 10 minutes, they brought us the missing steak. The manager told us that it was some miscommunication. We had only asked for two steaks and they had no reason not to trust their employees. So, they believed we asked three dishes for 4 people.

We were upset. We left with the feeling we were accused of lying to them and that wasn't...

What a gem! This place is fantastic!! We stumbled upon it while walking a side street and ended up having lunch and coming back for dinner. We had a local dish for lunch and the risotto prawns for dinner both accompanied with delightful Alentejo wines. The owner and waitress were super nice and attentive and made our dining experience even more special. And did I mention the atmosphere? We loved it so much we chose to sit inside. Good background music too! Don’t skip this...

Wanted a hot soup but 2 gaspacho soups only available. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the melon soup tasted. Sprinkled with toasted almonds and bits of bacon. The pork neck with caramelized onions was exquisite. The fresh dairy dessert was delicious- served a little too frozen, but still tasty.
