Firstly, let me get this out of the way, the staff was wonderful. They we’re very welcoming, the chef even greeted us once we entered. Now, the food was absolutely terrible. We have a theory that maybe the actual chef wasnt there, since it was a really slow day (we were the only clients). I went there with my family. We ordered shrimp ramen, a chicken burrito, and my mom ordered some sushi plate. Let me tell you, it was our first time trying ramen, and i had high expectations. It was disappointing. The noodles were overcooked, the boiled eggs im pretty sure were reheated (the inside was still cold). The shrimp was also obviously old, which is fascinating, since its a restaurant by the beach. There was absolutely no flavour whatsoever. The soup tasted like water. To top it off, an obscene amount of parsley. It was overwhelming. We visited this place two years ago. Owner of the place was very nice and welcoming, explaining how he is preparing his food, where he is getting his ingredients. That's right! Owner is the best chef around 👍. He prepared our dinner with lot's of care. We had wonderful dinner with great wine, new special food that we never tried before, strawberry 🍓 sushi🍣 and soup sushi, tuna tartare, tempura shrimp 🍤 and great seaweed salad. We had a superb, varied and expertly cooked meal with the freshest of ingredients and a wonderful palette of flavours. From the tempura prawns to the vegetable gyozas, to the vegan tacos to the tuna sashimi, everything was stunning. The sashimi in particular is the best I've had – incredibly fresh, melt-in-the-mouth tuna. With welcoming, friendly and efficient service and a charming interior with further seating on the decking outside, this place is a gem and well worth every penny of the very reasonable price.
