Olala!

Merci encore!!! Si on repasse à Obidos, on reviendra à...

Food was amazing and rich!! Unfortunately a small interaction with the waitress soured my mood for the rest of the dinner, which is why I docked it one star. My husband speaks English, and I speak English and Spanish. I order my food in Spanish to the waitress and she says “You can speak English. Spanish is not the same [as Portuguese].” I assume she said that because she heard me speaking English to my husband. I said ok sure, not saying anything more about it so as not to make the situation anymore awkward. But to unnecessarily tell me that Spanish isn’t the same as Portuguese? I’m fully aware, thank you, it’s just that I have been speaking English and Spanish interchangeably during my last week in Portugal, and I am more than happy to speak either depending on which gets the message across. You wouldn’t tell someone to speak Spanish instead because English...

Music? The best enviorment music ever. It was the first time I walk inside a restaurant and they were playing "Thunderstruck", and it was all the time good rock music 🤟. Service? Very welcome and cosy. All the staff was very polite, happy and with a friendly smile and suggestions for what was coming from chocolat festival. Food? It is Portugal, where the food is allways good. Desert? "Mil folhas com avelã e gelado de framboesa" was prepared by the gods. From heaven! Price vs Quality? This is where I was suprised because the food was so good and well prepared that the price was fair. But, putting in considerarion everything, I mean: the place, the enviorment, the staff, the quality....in the end I found it quite affordable and a place to go next time in obidos. Thank you for...

One of the few sit down restaurants within the walls of Óbidos that is also reasonably priced and serves great food. We had the crispy shrimp appetizer and octopus rice and tacos. The octopus rice was delicious and very filling. The service was a little slow and there is limited space inside, but the servers are friendly and helpful and as I said, the food was delicious. If you’re looking for a place to sit for an hour or two dining on a reasonably priced lunch while visiting the beautiful medieval town of Óbidos, I would recommend Real Casa de Petisco.

Visited here during a day trip to Óbidos and decided to lunch here with high expectations based on the good reviews. Unfortunately I found a hair in the olives they served as a starter. They took it away without an apology and instead asked if we would like more olives. They served us a coke instead of a Coke Zero which we ordered and then when we asked the waitress seemed annoyed. The meal needed a little more seasoning but was nice food overall. The service was a little underwhelming from the waitress who was was quite transactional.
