Cabana Bar — Restaurant in Albufeira

Horrible experience here. Had a pleasant evening, several drinks. Went to pay the bill, "we only accept cash". What!? How many large bars don't take cards. I questioned this. The hard nosed manager said "we have 3 signs up showing this" I looked for them, yes they do, they are very small showing a symbol of a credit card next to red 'x' . "We will walk you to the nearest ATM" isn't that what criminals do?

I have several debit/credit cards in my wallet and on my Google wallet but don't carry large amounts of cash around. Thankfully someone in the group had cash. All in all an unpleasant experience.

Let's be honest here. There are three reasons a business only takes cash.

1 you don't like paying the card machine rental and settlement fees 2 you're hiding it from the taxman 3 you're money laundering.

This place is a hidden gem, I say hidden because this place should be way busier than it was when we went. It's beautiful. We usually sit by the entrance, which is really nice and nicely decorated with lights, hanging hats, and other things. Inside is amazing. There's also an art gallery further inside. The best bit, in my opinion, is the open terrace by the pool tables. At night time, it's stunning.

This is by far the best cocktail bar in Olhos d’aqua. The decor is warm And very beautiful, with a inside area and two spacious outside terraces. the cocktails are a work of art and all freshly made with only the best ingredients. The staff is top notch , super friendly and with the best service! This is a family friendly cocktail bar, my children love it there as there are pooltables and lots of non-alcoholic Coctails as well. On some night they have special things like life music. It is the best place in town for sure❤️and I can not...
