Sweet Break – Olhos de Água, Algarve
Tucked just off the main road in Olhos de Água, Sweet Break is one of those rare places where time slows down. Whether you’re a traveler or a regular, there’s a gentle rhythm here that invites you to settle in.
The newly added deck, shaded by the broad canopy of a classic Algarve evergreen, makes for a soft and tranquil outdoor dining experience. You can hear the clinking of cutlery, the quiet hum of conversation, and every so often, the sea reminding you it’s nearby.
The food? Simply put—there are no missteps on this menu. Each dish feels like it was made with care, not for show, but for satisfaction. Personal favorites include the Egg Break, the Benedict with its rich, velvety hollandaise, and a surprising take on Avocado Toast that’s anything but expected. Croissants here are the kind you remember later. The Algarve Breakfast brings it all together—local, generous, and full of warmth.
There’s a rotating selection of fresh juices made from any two fruits of your choosing, and a house orange juice that tastes like it was squeezed just for you (because it was).
Service is consistently thoughtful—personable without being overbearing, and always attuned to any needs or restrictions. It’s clear that the people here care about more than food—they care about comfort.
Dining at Sweet Break is less about eating out and more about being welcomed in. It’s not a destination....

The toppings were generous and well-balanced: crunchy granola, fresh banana, juicy strawberries, and a drizzle of Nutella sauce that tied everything together beautifully. What really stood out was the portion size and the care they clearly put into presentation – it looked just as good as it tasted. Whether you’re after a post-beach snack or a healthy brunch option, this is the place....
