Personally , I am not a big fan of Indian food but this restaurant was lovely. The chicken samosas were amazing and perfect temperature and fresh. The meal itself was perfect and the food was kept hot throughout the meal with a candle lit under the food bowl so it didn’t go cold which I thought was very smart. Staff were very friendly , wasn’t too busy and the setting was very cute and cosy inside.
Only downside was on arrival , we were assured by the man serving us that they take card , as we didn’t have any cash on us. They said this was fine but when it came to pay , he suddenly spoke very little english! And was very adamant and persistent that he didn’t say they accepted card when he did. When it was made clear that if we couldn’t pay by card we couldn’t pay at all , they managed to get a card machine that worked and tried to charge us an additional 10 euro for card payment which we refused as it was ridiculous.
Unfortunately would not return as this situation made it very awkward

Read moreReally nice place and the flavours were excellent. Prawn poori was really nice and my wife enjoyed the Tandoori chicken. When the main courses came my Lamb Jafrezy was not hot enough but acceptable, however my wife (who had ordered a mild to medium chicken balti) was blowing steam out of her ears. It appeared they had mixed the spices up. I understand this may happen and the food was taken back. It was brought back and was nice. There was the matter of the naan, rice and chips which had gone cold plus the burning mouth. As a result we asked for another naan and a bottle of water which were brought. All was good until the bill came and we had been charged for the naan and water. We asked for those to be taken off as they would not have been ordered had the food not been wrong but they flatly refused. Shame really as the food was nice and I would have recommended it. Needless to say I only paid for what I...
Read moreWe shared poppadoms and chutney to start, the poppadoms were very light and crispy, chutney and dips were excellent.
The lamb was suggested by the owner so we had lamb tandoori ghost and lamb jalfrezi, with a side of keema rice.
The portions are very good, lots of meat in each and loads of rice. The dishes were both very tasty and had plenty of flavour. My one criticism would be that I asked for the jafrezi to be hot (spicy) and it was not particularly hot. I do have a spicy palette but my parnter agreed it was not hot.
Bottle of rose wine and bottle of water to drink, came in at around £50 which we felt was good value.
Some reviews say the owner is rude but I disagree, she was very nice to us and gave recommendations on dishes. There were times that they were straight to the point but that was because it was busy and nothing else.
Would...
