My fiancé and myself were staying just across the road from this fantastic family run restaurant in June 2019. It looks like a small cafe with a few tables inside and more outside, but it is so much more! As most places in Portugal it's relaxed dining and you just have to enjoy the relaxed approach. It is owned by a husband and wife team. The husband (Pedro) works front of house and is brilliant. He is a great host with a brilliant sense of humour. His wife is doing the cooking behind the scenes and it is really tasty. Personally I loved the tapas dishes but they also provide steaks, burgers, pasta etc. However, for a real authentic meal we would have three tapas dishes followed by Portuguese pork and clams!! Beautiful! This is a family run, relaxed small cafe style restaurant with great hosts and great food. You either get this place or you don't...... And we got it from day...
Read moreIf I could give more than five stars, I would! This restaurant is a true gem, and a big part of what makes it so special are the owners—they are genuinely the best you could ever hope to meet. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like family, and their warmth and passion for what they do shine through in every detail.
And the food… wow. Every single dish I tried was honestly the best I’ve ever had in my life. The flavors are out of this world, perfectly balanced and clearly made with love and the freshest ingredients. You can tell that every plate is crafted with care and a real dedication to quality.
Dining here isn’t just about eating; it’s an experience you’ll remember. The combination of incredible food and the most welcoming, attentive owners makes this place truly stand out. I can’t recommend it...
Read moreVery rude behavior of both waiters (waiter and waitress) just for asking them to review the check regarding my original request of adding up to 1 liter sangria with less ice instead of the original requested 0.5 liter jug. They've charged 2 times 0.5 liter and got very violent verbally (starting with being called "tricky guy") because it was considered asked 2 times 0.5L. So this is what I got for being kind and not complaining about the original ripoff. So a question to the restaurant manager: who was the "tricky guy" really? You charge 16 euros for a 1 euro/L-on-the-shelf beverage which is actually more than 32 euros your charge the clients considering the huge amount of ice you add. Avoid this restaurant, beside the rude behavior, it's about mediocre food and fake kindness and...
