Eduardo‘s — Restaurant in Albufeira

Do yourself a favour and take a walk away from the tourist strip. Your reward will be a very enjoyable evening and fantastic meal at Eduardo's.

The lamb shank on the set menu is a fabulous meal....tender, fall-off-the-bone and man-sized! My wife had the grilled chicken which was also juicy, well seasoned and ample. We would have loved to have had dessert, but just no room.

Eduardo is a real gentleman and takes great pride in his food. He is attentive to all the diners. He brought us a little glass of port as a bonus to finish off the evening.

I would like to note that Eduardo is a collector of Canadian license plates. He has most of the provinces on display, but needs a few more. Specifically, he is still lacking Newfoundland, PEI, Manitoba and Nunavut. He could also use a newer Alberta. Ik ging na aanleiding van vorige reviews naar dit restaurant. Ik vond vooral de foto's aantrekkelijk en kreeg echt zin in een stukje vlees. Bij een zeer warm welkom, uiteraard ook de "goede aangeprezen" Sangria besteld. Ik vond m persoonlijk niet de allerbeste. Maar dat is natuurlijk een persoonlijke voorkeur. Op de menukaart vond ik absoluut niet de aangeprezen gerechten terug, die mij zo naar dit restaurant hadden gelokt. Bij nader inspectie zag ik dat deze foto's ook helaas al 2 jaar oud waren. Mijn fout! Deze gerechten staan dus nu niet meer op de kaart. Ik koos nu voor een kippenborst filet met champignonsaus en vroeg expliciet om groenten. Na het bestellen had ik eigenlijk al spijt, want ik kwam voor een stukje vlees, en geen kip. Vooraf bestelde we meloen met ham om te delen. We kregen 1 schijf meloen in stukjes gesneden en wat plakjes ham. Sja.. ik vind dat erg weinig voor 2 personen. Mijn kipfilet was erg droog, en daar was ik vooraf al bang voor. Zo jammer! Ten eerste geen vlees gerechten als op de foto's. En ten 2de dan ook nog droge kip krijgen. Mijn gezelschap had varkensvlees op spies in Satesaus besteld. Ook dit was niks niet mals, maar droge draadjes vlees. En de gevraagde groenten was op elk bord een stukje broccoli en bloemkool... Er werd ook niet gevraagd of we het lekker vonden, of dat het had gesmaakt. En nu wil ik niet alleen maar negatief zijn, want ik schrijf veel liever leuke recensies. De zelfgemaakte frietjes waren wel bijna goed! Ze hadden wat ons betreft nog een minuutje langer mogen bakken in het frituurvet. Dan waren ze perfect geweest. En ook de kat die kwam schooien, vond de kipfilet en varkensvlees fantastisch. Over de koffie zal ik maar gewoon zwijgen. Al met al vond ik het toch...

We had dinner at Eduardo’s Restaurant & Bistro. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Prices are really affordable, and the ribs were tasty and tender, though sadly there was only one portion left. The dessert was nice too. The decor is quite old-fashioned okay for what it is, but not really what you’d hope for on vacation. The food was decent overall, and there was some relaxed background music, which made the experience more pleasant. A simple spot if you’re not expecting...
