O Farnel (Steakhouse) — Restaurant in Albufeira

Absolutely amazing food can not belive how cheap the food was €12 for a sirloin steak which comes with chips,rice and salad and €23 for a big t-bone steak which comes with the same sides. Down the road at el rancho its like €10 more expensive for a steak.I also got a chocolate cake with ice cream for €4 which was also amazing. I think it may be family run and the waitress we had was really loverly. The cheap prices does not reflect the quality of food. The quality and the taste of the steak was amazing. Weather spoon prices but Gordon Ramsey quality is the best way i could explain this little gem 🤣. Its also about 10 second walk around the corner from the strip so you can enjoy your meal without everyone walking past and without all the loud music. There is also no one stood outside forcing you to go in. Apperance wise it doesnt look fancy and as good as the other places but don't let this change your mind. When we arrived we thought the other places looked alot nicer but due to the really good reviews we decided to give it ago and we are so glad we did. Honestly can not remember the last time we had a meal out that was this impressive. Deffinatly worth a visit if your looking for somewhere to eat we will Deffinatly be revisiting here...

Com atendimento assim nao consigo conceber como é que tem 4.8* infelizmente.

Chegamos pontualmente com mesa reservada para as 20:30 e pedimos bebidas enquanto alguns do grupo fumavam antes de jantar. Às 20:45 somos interrompidos pelo cozinheiro a dizer que a reserva era para as 20:30 e nem teria aceite se fosse para ser às 21:00. Noutro dia e com mais tempo disponível teríamos pago as cervejas e saído porta fora.. (suspeito que pela pressa, falta de brio e atenção que sentimos ao longo do jantar, era o que o cozinheiro desejava)

Entradas: pão e manteiga covert geral (para um grupo de 4 veio 1 pao mistura e 1 manteiga) pao com manteiga de alho (2 paes mistura em metades, aquecidos no microondas com manteiga de ervas..a cozinha é à frente das mesas e ouviu-se o "ting" do microondas e o pao a sair)

Os pratos principais foram bifes variados, pimenta, vazia, cebola etc, de apresentação básica como nas fotos, cebola caramelizada veio queimada, o molho pimenta e parte do bife estavam agradáveis, mas pelo menos 1/4 do bife tinha um sabor desagradável que nao sei identificar. Batatas fritas normais mas boas e arroz em quantidade poupada para dizer o mínimo.

Assim que acabamos de comer ouviu-se o murmurar e pressa da voz de fundo, "os rapazes já acabaram de comer", e a senhora que nos estava a atender veio levantar logo a mesa... No entanto ela foi a única réstia de salvação para aquele lugar! No final trouxe 4 shots digestivos, talvez por vergonha alheia, em compensação da atitude miserável do cozinheiro. (Não quero acreditar que seja o dono, porque se for é ainda mais vergonhoso)

Fico verdadeiramente chocado com o atendimento e o desdém mostrado.

Hidden from main strip (which is not a bad thing) Seems a family run operation, returned for a 2nd visit as 1st visit was so good. In total we tried sirloin steaks, the Angus burger, the piri piri chicken and all dishes were absolutely cooked perfect and delicious. I would also recommend the homemade fresh to order onion rings. Great little restaurant and so cheap to what you pay in the UK.
