O Aurélio — Restaurant in Albufeira

First of all, we arrived at this restaurant(family of 8) expecting local food and friendly waiters,but that didn’t come true. Talking about the waiters only one of them spoke English, but that was acceptable because we had a lot of time as we were the first ones at the restaurant. After we placed our order and other people had come in we noticed that everyone else received bread and olives except us. We decided that that was a mistake and we asked for our bread and olives, little did we know that the other family of 8 got two baskets of bread, olives AND butter(without asking for it)and we got only one basket of bread, olives and NO butter. Talking about the food… it was okay…. Except they brought us only half of what we had ordered. But apparently the order was placed by the staff as they gave us things we didn’t even know were on the menu because apparently they didn’t have one. At the end we wanted to finish the meal with some tasty ice creams but they told us to go to the fridge and pick them out by ourselves, turns out the desert menu was in the waiters hands the whole time. A hidden gem! So you might be asking why only 4 stars? The chicken came out well seasoned,succulent and the sauce was perfect to soak each piece before each bite. We've tried most of the chicken places in Guia, for us this one is in the top 5! The only thing for me that was less than 5 stellar, was the service. Maybe because this place is a bit smaller than some of the other places the chicken took a little more time, the servers just seemed to be lacking in training. The food is amazing and this used to be one of my favourite restaurants. But now they hired 2 indians that dont speak portuguese or english. Terrible.

Stop supporting the ethic replacement of the portuguese people. Will not come back until you fire those clowns.

Hire native portuguese. Stop being a coward.
