Restaurante O Norberto — Restaurant in Albufeira

We unfortunately didn't have the best experience here. As we entered, we noted there were tables free, so it wasn't at capacity by any means. We ordered steak cooked on the stone, a chicken and prawn kebab, and 2 half piri piri chickens. It took just over an hour and a half for the food to come to us. Granted, it's known in all restaurants in Guia that if you don't have the chicken, it takes longer. But an hour and a half for steak which is cooked at the table by the person ordering, and a chicken and prawn kebab that doesn't take that long to cook, it's ridiculous. Especially when the restaurant isn't that busy. We noted other tables that came in after us got their food before us, and it wasn't all chicken orders, which was frustrating. The worst was that the chicken kebab had raw chicken bits, so it wasn't fully cooked. We were then given a bit of a sob story about how hard times are for the restaurant, which isn't fair to do to customers when you've not served them fairly. I've given 3 stars because they did give us a round of drinks on the house m, which was nice of them to do. Also, the steak on the stone and the piri piri chicken was very nice. The chips were tasty, too. Overall, though, we wouldn't come back here. Taking over an hour and a half to then serve part raw...

Absolutely loved it! We went here for a late lunch. We got a very warm welcome and took a table inside. There were so many amazing choices on the menu! They had a broad selection of meat; such as lamb, chicken (piri-piri), pork and beef. They also had some great vegetarian options and a kids menu.

We (3 people) had the grilled pork belly, chicken piri-piri and the beef fillet on the stone.

All three were absolutely amazing, but escpecially the beef fillet on the stone! The meat was very soft, which the man also explained was because it’s very high quality and fresh. Honestly might be the best beef I’ve ever had. You could definitely taste the quality and it was very well prepared. The man even helped me with it on the table by preparing the meat for me.

Price-quality is definitely very good here. The service is absolutely amazing. We felt very welcomed the whole time and they really go out of their way to make it a good experience.

Desilusão completa...

Chegamos cedo, pedimos vinho de jarro para misturar com 7up, esqueceram-se da 7up e queriam dar a provar o vinho de jarro... Só aí percebemos a parvoíce mas pronto, mais vale ser demasiado bem servido do que mal, mas tudo isto muda em breve quando o restaurante começa a ficar mais composto e tivemos várias vezes à espera de coisas como mais bebida, cafés, digestivos... Passavam várias vezes por nós e estavam desatentos porque não nos viam com mão levantada a pedir algo.

De entradas estava bom o queijo, os peixinhos da horta basicamente não tinham sal, felizmente o sal estava na mesa e não tive que esperar que o trouxessem.

Como pratos principais pedimos bacalhau grelhado e espetada da vazia com camarões.

A posta de bacalhau que nos foi apresentada era baixa e de fraca qualidade, o bacalhau desfazia-se e ainda estava sem sal... As batatas estavam cruas, impossíveis de comer, já para não falar que nos venderam batatas a murro e no final apareceram batatas cortadas aos gomos. Os legumes que acompanhavam estavam bons.

A espetada não tinha sal e nem sabor. Na espetada vinham 3 camarões pequenos. As batatas fritas estavam moles e a salada que vinha no mesmo prato das batatas estava muito mal temperada com sal grosso apenas por cima da salada. A salada tinha milho que eu odeio, mas isto é uma preferência pessoal.

De sobremesa comemos um molotof e um gelado frito. Estavam as duas boas apesar de ter demorado bastante tempo, mas fomos avisados. O problema foi que mais uma vez se tinham esquecido do molotof e só trouxeram quando eu já tinha comido o gelado frito quase todo. Inclusive pedimos os cafés junto com as sobremesas e mais uma vez estava esquecido.

Demoraram mais uma eternidade a entregar um medronho.

No final pedimos a conta e pagamos 81,50€ para 2 pessoas por um serviço medíocre e comida sem sabor.

Sem dúvida não recomendo e não voltarei.

Somos pessoas que adoramos comer bem e não nos importamos de pagar mas quando a comida é boa e somos bem servidos. O jantar de hoje foi uma enorme desilusão.

P.S. a mesa a trás de nós fez reserva, chegaram 2/3 minutos depois de nós e só estavam a receber a comida deles quando nós já estávamos na sobremesa que demorou a chegar. Agora imaginem... E nem tinham as mesas...
