RM Martins — Restaurant in Albufeira

Me and my Wife was here last night for dinner, I ordered a steak and my wife ordered chicken skewers. Cut long story short, service was good etc, but my steak wasn't great. It was very chewy right through. Im not a picky eater, even choosing places to eat id go anywhere, food is food to me. But unfortunately I wasn't able to eat the steak, I had to leave it after eating less then a quarter of it. Was very disappointed as was looking forward to it. When the waitress came to lift the plates, she seen the steak was hardly touched, and asked did we not like it, I replied and said it was very chewy and I struggled to eat it. She's nodded and continued with collecting. When waiting for the bill, my wife said "I wonder will they charge you for the steak?" I said " probably not but il give them it in tip so there not out". I have a business and I know the struggles and my wife works in hospitality so she understands too. When paying the bill, the full price was there, and not even an apology or sorry about the steak. I'm not someone to argue or question anything, instead of questioning something id just not come back, and that's it for me. I don't usually write reviews either but I can't recommend the steak at all, maybe other food is nice but can only go by my choice (hence why I didn't give a 1 star as other food might be nice). Also it's not about paying the full price as I would have covered it in tips, it's just the principle of acknowledging the customer wasn't happy I would have...

We had been 5 yrs prior n had the best Flambee King Prawns on rice but sadly no more and even the portable cooker stand that was used infront of us only used for plant display now :( we were rather disappointed initially but still had a lovely meal despite it being hot n we had to ask for the air con to be turned on. Which wasn't very powerful. There were diff ones in the inside rm but only the middle one was on for a bigger table b4 us n we got no air in our corner. Tho at least one staff wanted to make it more romantic for us by turning on a nice shaded light beside us! They were not full but seemed busy due to all d running about as many diff sections. Staff were nice and I had a nicely made fresh mojito. I had the t bone but it was a bit over the medium I had requested. Boring style frozen chips but tasty seasoned meat ontop n nice fresh salad went with it n they actually had Coleman's Mustard lol. Grilled squid was perfectly cooked, so fresh and we substituted the spuds for rice which was grand. Ordered a panna cotta without the strawberry compote and it was nice n cold but a lil sweeter n not as traditional as one I had...

Arrived just before 7pm at which the restaurant was half full. Order taken within 10 minutes and then the wait started. By 8.50pm we had still not recieved food,at this stage the restaurant was full and the three tables in front of us that were not there when we arrived were just about finished their main course. At this stage i approached the waitor and asked what the hold up was to which i was told our order was next. By 9pm we had enough and walked out,at which a waitor followed us outside and abused us for leaving. We had a 2 year old child with us which at this stage had got impatient and was tired and ready for bed. The waitor told us how we couldnt just get up and walk out and expected us to wait over 2 hours to get food,and told us if we didnt want to wait to not come in at rush hour. We had entered the restaurant before it had got busy and watched other people get served before us that had been there for half the time. Absolutely ridicolous,and to have a waitor follow you out and make a scene in front of other customers...
